Its been a rough couple of months with cloudy skies almost every night. Hopefully we can get into some nice stargazing weather now we are into summer. We have some great deep sky objects rising now like the great Orion Nebula, Matariki, The Fornax Galaxy cluster just to name a few. Also Jupiter and Saturn are looking amazing this time of year. Late Moon rise for the next week heading into New Moon phase is my favorite time. No Moon makes for the best views of Nebula and Galaxies. Great for star clusters too.. Its the second best time of the moon in my opinion. Message Timaru Night Sky Tours to book.

The Moon looks great tonight.. You may not think it but now is the best time to see it through the telescope.. Full Moon is to bright and loses all creator definition. See it once through the telescope and you will never look at it the same again. Message Timaru Night Sky Tours to book.
