Here's to our amazing housekeepers who keep this show on the road, the glue to the operation! With a phenomenal number of homes to present in tip top shape, we couldn't do it without you 🥂

On average, our team can clean anywhere up to 15 houses per day (July 2023 record - let's hope we don't do that again!). Alongside amazing housekeepers, they are light bulb changers, always have their eyes on maintenance and assist to ensure you walk into a warm and cosy home in the cooler months.

Top cleaning tip - stay on top of routine cleaning by doing a little bit of deep cleaning each week, skirting boards, light fittings and switches, tidying cupboards and oven cleaning on a routine basis. By staying on top of these jobs regularly means you never have a big overhaul ahead of you!

Always leave a house manual for your guests! Ensuring a complete and frequently updated manual ensures ease of use of appliances, location of supplies such as fire lighters and matches and any property specific details which will be useful for guests during their stay. Not to mention recommendations of local amenities and activities and emergency numbers and medical facilities nearby.

Book In Methven are on the look out for one or two housekeepers for Winter 2024. This may even suit a high schooler who is happy to work on Sundays supported by our team, school aged Mum’s as hours always fall within school hours or ski staff looking for additional revenue throughout the season.

It’s imperative to note weekend work is not required each and every week, only on our busiest days and you have the flexibility to decline shifts due to the casual nature of the role.
