New Zealand is our home, our passion, and our business; therefore, all our resources go into being the best hosts we can be. Since pioneering a new way to travel in New Zealand almost 30 years ago, we have made deep connections with our communities throughout New Zealand. Sharing our connections with our people and our land is at our core, whilst providing unforgettable, high-quality, high-value travel experiences.
Peace and plenty to our flock this weekend. 💝
All is calm. All is bright. Wishing everyone a magical holiday season. 💝

Last hurrah. ❄️ Winter is departing kicking and screaming—well, more like floating and whispering…
You can’t have rainforests without the rain. 💚 It’s been a pretty wet spring thus far, but our nearly 200 species of native ferns have been slurping it up with glee.
A day in the life…
Young fur seal slipped into marine biologist’s home through a catflap before spending more than two hours inside
Happy Monday.☺️🐑🤍
It’s been a bit cold and grey here, but that hasn’t stopped us from getting out and finding beauty in the small things. What emoji(s) describes the weather in your neck of the planet? ☀️❄️☔️💨…
Happy Friday from dunedinwildlifehospital!
This veterinary hospital looks after ill and injured native New Zealand wildlife and acts as a nursery for highly vulnerable species like this happy kākāpō—aka moss chicken. 😄💚
Mānawatia a Matariki. Happy Matariki! ✨💙 Matariki, the Māori New Year, is a new public holiday in New Zealand and the first indigenous celebration to be formally recognised in a colonised country. It’s named after the Matariki, or Pleiades, star cluster, which reappears this time of year, and is linked to the Māori environmental calendar. It’s a time to reflect on the year that’s been, honour loved ones who have passed, share food and friendship, and make wishes for the coming year. The best time to view the Matariki cluster is early morning, just before dawn. ✨

Bubblegum skies. 🍬 A stunning twilight at Māpua Wharf. We’re tickled pink to call this home. 💕
The quaint seaside village of Māpua is a fabulous place to roam. Waterfront cafes and bars, shops and galleries, a craft brewery, and the thrill of a wharf jump lure travellers and day visitors to linger amongst the locals. The Māpua Ferry takes passengers and bikes across the inlet to neighbouring Rabbit Island to connect with the Great Taste Trail.
Air New Zealand’s beautiful new safety video… 😍
Happy Easter, from our flock to yours. 💝
This takes us back to a magical night with our flock on Hot Water Beach. Have you ever seen bioluminescence? 💙✨
Rare phenomenon of bioluminescence is caused by blooms of plankton which glow to evade or distract predators
Striding into the weekend. 🥾💙
Gotta love a good good-news story. ❤️
Door security error meant one of country’s largest city libraries was left open for hours, allowing hundreds to browse shelves
Happy to the brave and beautiful wahine in our lives. 💙
Fill your cup. 💙 Ours was overflowing on this day in Milford Sound.
Today’s smile. 😊
Brilliant right to the end! 🤣 🦜
While keas are renowned for their cheeky, arguably criminal, behaviour, a family walking the Kepler Track got an amazing gift back after one stole their GoPro.
Many of our flock will recognise this favourite stop in Mt Aspiring National Park. 💚
Is it just us, or is she smiling?! 🐣
Windows.🪟We love the teasing glimpses of beaches and bays as we walk the Abel Tasman track. 💙
Here’s to a peaceful holiday season, from our flock to yours. ❤️ 🐑 💚
“I can’t see a way through” said the boy. ... “Can you see your next step?” ... “Yes." ... "Just take that” said the horse. Beautiful advice from Charlie Mackesy, “The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse”.
A little Friday frivolity. 💃🏻🕺🏽
Trick or Tree. 👻 What better place to spend Halloween than a goblin forest?
Nature nurtures. 💙 While we can’t physically share our country to our dear flock right now, we can share these moments. 🤗
Sometimes, a walk in the rain is exactly what you need to brighten your day. 🧡
Happy Anniversary, Hawke's Bay! 💙 A hike up Te Mata Peak is the perfect way to see in the long weekend. Take a peek at the Peak in our list of Top 10 Views in New Zealand.
In a country renowned for stunning scenery, here is our list of the top 10 most beautiful views in New Zealand.

Happy Wildlife Wednesday! 🦜 Our cover bird this week is the kea, known for its cheeky antics and penchant for windscreen wipers. While they’ve been known to nibble a Black Sheep van or two, we can’t help but love them. 💙

Happy Weekend! 💙
This was the scene that greeted us at the end of the Ho**er Valley track. We usually come here in summer, so we were like little kids, playing in the snow and watching the ice break off and flow down the river. Bliss. ☺️
Walking on sunshine. ☀️ What an amazing day on the Ho**er Valley track. 💙
How's this for a room with a view?! 🤩 Thanks to Black Sheeper Gray Buetzow for this fabulous photo of Aoraki Mt Cook taken from his balcony whilst on his Self Drive tour. Curtains, schmurtains. 💜
Hooray! The gannets are returning this month to Muriwai to court, breed and nest. This spectacular spot is just 45 min from downtown Auckland and a favourite visit for our flock.🥚🤍
Welcome back! These mighty travellers have just landed in our local estuary to a bit of fanfare. 💙
City of Nelson welcomes arrival of migratory bird after 10,000km of non-stop flight from the Arctic
Un-rush hour. 💚 It’s hard to believe how quickly you can go from the bustle of Auckland’s CBD to lush, pristine bush and wild, windswept beaches (see captions).
