Sometimes the unexpected happens – bad weather, airline delays or natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions can interrupt your trip and sorting out these issues is not always easy. Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, it is not relevant where you or I are located, everything can be arranged remotely . Many of my clients have not met me – and it’s the true and trusted word of mouth, that has built my business up in the past years. It’s no small thing to entrust your faith and hard earned dollars in my hands from another part of the country or recommend me to friends and family, and I respect the gravity of that trust, which is why I am so passionate and successful at making it easy and painless for you to make the most of your travel experience, while I take care of the details. Although the internet provides a lot of information, my clients regularly highlight the fact that they still need an expert to co-ordinate all of their bookings at one central point with the bonus of offering the experience, security and professional advice. If you hold a UK visa and use a biometric residence permit or card to prove your immigration status, you’ll need to access an eVisa before you travel. Make sure your passport details are up to date! Learn more here: www.gov.uk/eVisa

✅ Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA):
If you don’t need a visa for short stays (up to six months), you’ll need an ETA to enter the UK. Check if you need one and apply here: www.gov.uk/electronic-travel-authorisation

📌 If you already have an eVisa, you must inform the UK Government about the passport you intend to use for travel. Update your details here: www.gov.uk/update-uk-visas-immigration-account-details

If you are traveling to the airport today in Auckland please allow plenty of time

An external network outage is currently impacting the system that manages check-in at the international terminal at Auckland Airport. It’s an emerging issue, and our team is working as quickly as possible with external parties to resolve it. Domestic flights are not impacted.

Auckland Airport wishes to advise travellers that this is creating delays and congestion in the international check in area, and causing slower than usual processes for some airlines checking-in passengers.

We thank travellers for their patience and understanding as we work to get them where they need to be as soon as possible. Additional members of the Auckland Airport team are available in the check in area to support international travellers, offering customers who have been waiting water and snacks.

For information about how this may be impacting flights today, travellers are asked to please get in touch with their airline for further details. Not all airlines are being impacted by the outage.

Auckland Airport will provide further updates when more information is available.

Alcohol & Travel Insurance: What You Need to Know 🍷✈️

Many travellers enjoy a drink or two while on holiday, whether it's a cocktail by the beach or sampling local wines. But it’s important to be aware of how alcohol can affect your travel insurance coverage.

Alcohol can impair your ability to make decisions and react in an emergency, which increases the risk of accidents, injury, or other incidents. Travel insurance policies may have exclusions related to alcohol, especially if it contributes to the cause of a claim. For example, if your blood alcohol level is above the legal limit or alcohol is determined to be a contributing factor in an incident, your claim could be denied.

While insurance providers may allow for responsible alcohol consumption, it’s essential to always remember to be safe and think about your well-being. Familiarise yourself with the terms and conditions of your policy before you travel to ensure you understand what is and isn’t covered in alcohol-related situations.
