Chocolate Fruit & Nut Bliss

This recipe packs a powerful nutrient punch! It's an exceptional food for thyroid health as it contains many of the nutrients needed for healthy thyroid function. Thyroid hormones control metabolism which is directly responsible for how much energy you burn in a day. A healthy thyroid makes weight maintenance much easier.

Raw cacao powder contains lots of magnesium, iron, manganese & copper. Brazils are one of the are richest sources of selenium & also have high levels of B Vitamins & iron. Apricots are high in potassium & Vitamin A & E. Ginger contains anti-inflammatory properties.

Enjoy this delicious treat without guilt.

250 g raw cacao butter
1 C raw cacao powder
1 C dates
1 C dried apricots
1 ½ C Brazil nuts
16 drops stevia
4 to 5 tsp ground ginger (depending on taste)

Melt cacao butter, add cacao powder, stevia & ginger, stir to combine & allow to cool. Add nuts, apricots & dates. Stir to evenly coat fruit & nuts and pour into a baking paper lined dish. Spread nuts & fruit evenly in a single layer over the bottom of the dish, allowing the chocolate to flow into all the gaps. Turn out onto a board when set & cut into 4 to 5 cm squares. Store in an airtight container & hide the in the back of the pantry to prevent everyone else from eating it! :-)

Here is my latest brew of Kombucha ready for bottling.Kombucha is a fermented sweetened tea that has been around for centuries.

It contains high levels of antioxidants, b-vitamins, probiotics and glucaric acid. Here are some of the health benefits it has been know to including:

liver detoxification
improved pancreas function
increased energy
better digestion
improved mood (helps with anxiety/depression)
kills Candida (yeast)
helps nutrient assimilation
Kombucha is brewed from sweetened tea, though most of the sugar ferments out, so it has minimal effect on blood sugar. It can be made with caffeinated or decaf tea, and even with green tea or herbal teas.

The Kombucha is brewed with a SCOBY (Symbiotic Colony of Yeast and Bacteria) that “eats” the sugars in the sweetened tea and creates an acidic, vitamin and probiotic rich beverage.

Chili Chocolate Fudge

Try this delicious recipe we have created for chocolate fudge with a chili twist.

400gm pitted dates
1 ½ cups of raw coconut oil
125gm of raw cacao powder
½ cup desiccated coconut
2/3 cup coconut butter (To make coconut butter process desiccated coconut until a smooth paste forms (just like making peanut butter)
1 cup raisins
1 - 1 ½ tsp chili powder (according to taste)

Pour boiling water over dates & stand for an hour to soften. Drain dates & squeeze out any excess liquid (reserve liquid to be used as a sweetener in other recipes). Soften coconut oil & process in a food processor with all other ingredients until smooth. Pour into a large flat baking paper lined dish or swiss roll tin. Press out flat & smooth over with the back of a large metal spoon. Refrigerate until set. Cut in small pieces. Makes about 150 pieces.

I treated a new born baby last week who was struggling to latch on to feed. Her mum reported back to me the next week that 2 hours after the Bowen treatment her baby latched on perfectly and has been feeding well ever since. A great result and all it took were a few Baby Bowen moves. What an amazing modality Bowen is.

Wow so many great Bowen results this week but the stand out one is a woman who came in with so much pain she was struggling to walk properly. After just 6 Bowen moves she noticed a real difference and by the time she left she was almost pain free. She got back to work and was feeling so good she started dancing around the office handing out my business cards. What better advertising than a satisfied client.
