Distillery of the Month: Benriach From Speyside In Scotland

December is here and 2024 is nearly coming to an end.

For our last distillery of month feature in 2024 we have chosen Benriach from speyside in Scotland.

The Benriach Distillery was founded in 1898 and although the rough-hewn walls of their warehouses may seem unassuming, they are home to a rare breed of creative expertise in whisky distilling and eclectic cask maturation.

At eight pm we have long loved Benriach drams, from smooth, peated to intersting single cask releases they have something to offer for every palate.

We have made available a number of single cask releases from 2015-2019 as well as a few limited edition releases.

There is a good selection of quaffing drams also for well under $99.

Lastly if you are looking for an ultra luxurious whisky for Christmas we have made available a small number of Benriach 30yo for just $539.10 ( elsewhere up to $999 or much more )

Made by the same folks who created the award-winning Gin Mare, this gin is a tribute to the pioneers and heritage behind spirits. It features a hefty load of vibrant botanicals distilled over seven distillations, including juniper, lime, kumquat, lemon, pink and green grapefruit, mandarin, lemongrass, bitter and sweet oranges - distilled in that order. With a bottle designed to look like an antique medicine bottle, this is one to store at the front of the drinks cabinet!

Bright and vibrant citrus notes with sharp and fruity grapefruit, herby juniper and lemongrass, boiled orange sweets.

November is here, and so is our Distillery of the Month! We’re excited to feature Teeling Irish Whiskey, one of the most iconic distilleries from the heart of Dublin Ireland. The Teeling Whiskey Distillery today is the first new distillery in Dublin for over 125 years.

In fact, our name, Eight PM, was inspired by this very time of day. When the clock strikes eight, our founder, Ash, presses pause on his life for a couple of sacred hours, meditating on the days events with the golden flavors of a single malt or two.
