During the last school holidays, Kate Hawken - Travel Manager took her kids on a family trip to Samoa! They loved experiencing a new country and finally having a relaxing time exploring Samoa. It was very hot when they visited in April, so be prepared for the heat and make sure to drink plenty of water. They stayed at Saletoga Sands, which was perfect for their family. The airport transfers were convenient, as it's a bit of a journey to the resort. They took two tours from the resort: one to the To Sua Trench and another to an island for a day of snorkelling. A highlight of their trip was seeing turtles while snorkelling! 🐢😍

Aurelia's top tips are that less is more. It's easy to over pack, so pack lightly and that will do you just fine for a week on the islands. A small amount of cash is very handy for the inevitable local craft markets - you never know what gem you'll find to treasure the trip by. 🐠 Hire a car. This gives you the freedom to explore at will and discover the local restaurants, wimming holes, sea tracks and villages around the island.
🐠 Keep track of the tides, this is important. Many of the amazing sea tracks are accessible on certain tides.
🐠 Whales, if you want to see them you will be to be there between June and October, it's best to pre-book as much as you can to avoid disappointment.
🐠 Game fishing. If you’ve never caught a Mahi Mahi or any other large tropical deep sea fish Niue offers some of the best game fishing in the world.

One of our Travel Specialists Juanita Smart, recently embarked on an incredible trip to South Africa with Adventure World! Juanita summarised the trip and highlighted that the people were friendly, the food and wine was amazing, and the scenery, flora and fauna is all stunning. 🌺

From taking the cableway up Table Mountain in Cape Town to see the amazing 360 degree views, to a Cape Sidecar Adventure where she got to venture around the Peninsula in Cape Town to see the beautiful ocean views which was a highlight for all. Juanita also visited the Kapama Private Game Reserve & River Lodge, where they learnt all about the animals, and even saw the big 5 on the first night - an Elephant, Lion, Cape Buffalo, Leopard and Rhinoceros. The trip was amazing and Juanita will definitely be going back she loved it so much!🐘😍

Tessa Fisher - Destination by Design, recently embarked on an incredible family holiday to Sri Lanka alongside her husband and two children! A top tip which Tessa shared is to hire an independent driver/guide, giving you the freedom to explore the country at your own pace, all at a reasonable cost. Their driver altered their itinerary, swapping out National Parks to maximise wildlife sightings and made adjustments along the journey to accommodate the family's preferences and avoid the midday heat. 😍

With a range of sights and activities, Tessa recommends dedicating a good two weeks to fully experience the rich culture, historical sites, beach relaxation, and National Parks. Consider trying tea plucking at one of the numerous tea plantations and indulging in high tea at The Grand Hotel in Nuwara Eliya. Since Sri Lankan Rupee isn't available outside the country, Tessa recommends bringing USD for currency exchange upon arrival. Your money stretches quite far there, especially when dining at local eateries rather than sticking to your hotel. 👏

Amanda King - Travel Broker was lucky enough to head on an amazing trip with Adventure World Travel to Patagonia, Chile over the last week! Amanda shared with us her highlights and recommendations from the trip. The first morning they entered the Torres Del Paine National Park while it was still dark. The sun started rising showing Las Torres, which was so beautiful. As the day went on it got better and better. They were staying at Estancia Cerro Guido, outside the park but excursions are included in Adventure World's all-inclusive rate. They really try to make sure you feel like you have the park to yourself. Part of that was a 1.5-hour easy hike where they were all alone with the nature and the views. At least that's how it felt. The guide took them to all the best spots in the park accessible by 4x4, so they got to see the views that they would have struggled to find on their own. Amanda couldn't have asked for a better day.

Amanda's recommendation is to visit The Estancia Cerro Guido, which is the largest ranch in the area and although now a luxury hotel, it is also still an operating farm. They are committed to conservation, particularly the Puma, which they spent a day out tracking to help with the conservation project, and they even go to see one! On their last morning, Amanda spent the day horseback riding with the incredible views of the ranch, it was the perfect end to their time. 🗺️😍

Tori Keating from X travel recently went on an amazing trip to Vietnam & Cambodia! Tori shared some highlights from her trip which include visiting the stunning Angkor Wat at sunrise, experiencing the beautiful and serene Ninh Binh above Hanoi, and the captivating charm of Hoi An lit up at night by hundreds of colourful lanterns. Also, at night the reflection of the lanterns on the boats in the softly rippling waters of the Hoai River create a sight reminiscent of a Monet painting, where the interplay of light and shadow blurs the lines between reality and reflection, casting a dreamlike aura over the tranquil scene. These are all must-see experiences while visiting Vietnam, which Tori highly recommends! 😍
