This is the final piece in my second complete series of sculpture, ๐พ๐ก๐ค๐ช๐๐จ ๐ค๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฃ๐ค๐ฌ๐๐ฃ๐ : A very special commission via for and in celebration of the re-opening of the St James Theatre in Te Whanganui-a-Tara.
๐พ๐ก๐ค๐ช๐๐จ ๐ค๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฃ๐ค๐ฌ๐๐ฃ๐, 2022, are sculptural forms beholden to the fluidity and temporality of the waters and the skies, the ephemeral resonance of a piece of music, the wisdom of a stone, the languid movement of a river, a birdโs flight. Forms in love with the intrinsic qualities of matter under various phases of transformation. Forms that want to meet the universe halfway, in the entanglement of culture and nature.
