The Rotary Club of Newmarket is one of New Zealand’s largest and most proactive Rotary Clubs. Through its Charitable Trust, the Club has established a strong record of supporting extremely worthy Auckland-wide community projects and we ask that you support our drive for 2024
Children’s Event 2024 -- The Rotary Club of Newmarket is proud to present Circus Quirkus at the Due Drop Events Centre for the pure enjoyment of Auckland’s special needs and disadvantaged children and their families. Every child loves a circus and this one is specifically for our local special needs and less fortunate children. So many of these children carry ongoing burdens of disability, illness, or poverty. Our primary Charity focus for ‘Circus Quirkus’ this year is on helping our Auckland Children and their Families. Our aim is to make a positive difference through supporting and developing as many young people and families as our funding will allow. This is where collectively we can make a long-term difference in our community. This means supporting established and successful programmes including:
•Life Education Trust: Our aim is to educate and empower children to make healthy choices to live full and healthy lives and toinspire tamariki and rangatahi to enable our children to reach their full potential and to educate and inspire generations to embracepositive choices for a healthy mind and body.
•Lifeline: Providing safe, effective and confidential support to the community and helping to prevent su***de. There is no singlecause and there will be no single solution. Each number is a life of an incredible person with whānau and friends who'll beexperiencing immense loss. This is a heart-breaking crisis, and one that is ripping through our communities.
•
Starship: Delivering family centered care to infants, children, young people and their whānau in hospital and in the community.
•Women’s Refuge: Keeping our Auckland women and children and their families safe.
