They did let him out you know! BobFaye Gillon aka The Rabbit Man, in charge of (amongst other things) filling hundreds of rabbit holes with tons of soil, for our safety at the airshow. Who knew that happened? Many thanks to Bob and all the volunteers that helped make the Warbirds over Wanaka airshow so brilliant.

Thurs was set up day at Wanaka, nice to walk around without the crowds once we’d finished. It’s our first time at this show, what a beautiful setting. Loving seeing the campers already perched up on the hill.

We had a very busy day at Wings and Wheels Thames. A very diverse range of aircraft and vehicles attracted large crowds. Well done to all involved in the organising and running of the event. Some very positive chats with people keen to join us for our D-Day and Bomber County tour this year. There are great photos out there which I might share but for now here are a few snaps from a very brief walk around. Hope someone got some good ones of the Corsair which was a highlight. You’ll be lucky to catch a glimpse in mine.

One to watch in future years, pity it didn't drop in to the Flying Legends weekend slot for us.

What is the best way to start the new year? A significant participants update for a brand new airshow! Sywell 2024 takes place over 22nd and 23rd June at Sywell in Northamptonshire. Organised by Sywell Aerodrome and Ultimate Warbird Flights, the show promises classic aircraft from across Europe plus modern jets, and will feature formations and unique displays. Ground attractions including classic cars are also planned.
