From Sea To Sky – paintings by Coromandel artist Julie Dann – runs at Vessel Art at 752 Pollen Street, Thames, until March 27. Pieces range from traditional sea and landscapes to abstracts, and screen-printed t-shirts with ammonites and starfish. Vessel Art is a funky arts and crafts co-operative. Kia ora everyone. Completing the final touches for an art and pottery show in Coromandel town, which is open from February 15-25. So proud to be exhibiting my paintings, screenprinted t-shirts and sketches as part of Connect Four. The three other artists are Elisabeth Carter, who is also our town's florist and does beautiful paintings, Murray Rainey, who takes pottery to another level, and the late Gary Tricker, who became well-known in Aotearoa in the 1970s.
