Kelly White, Lead Project and Event Manager at Orbit World Travel Wellington, Groups & Events team has recently returned from a remarkable journey leading a group to the vibrant city of Dublin, Ireland.

Beginning her involvement right from the proposal phase, Kelly's dedication led her to Dublin, where she personally ensured a top-tier "VIP, on-the-ground" experience, guaranteeing flawless ex*****on. Throughout the meticulous planning process, regular client consultations spanning from the implementation of an Events Air Website and Registration site, to seamless planning of an experience of the best of Ireland, fostered a strong partnership with the clients but also facilitated swift decision-making.

This approach ensured that the meticulously crafted timeline and itinerary were upheld. Kelly embraced the responsibility of overseeing every intricate detail of the delegation, ranging from coordinating suppliers to ensuring seamless operations both in New Zealand and throughout the Dublin event.

In the heart of Dublin, the six-day event unfolded, attended by a prestigious group of 55 delegates, including top CEOs, ONZM and KNZM honorees, and representatives from some of New Zealand's most renowned businesses. The group stayed at The Alex Hotel and experienced a number of organised activities by Kelly, including visits to Teeling Whiskey Distillery, Guinness Storehouse, Christ Church Cathedral for a closing dinner in its crypt, a private lunch at the 1592 Restaurant at Trinity College, and an enlightening experience at the Titanic Belfast Museum.

The event received enthusiastic praise from everyone, with clients giving amazing feedback. Accomplishing all of this while staying within the designated budget and timeframe truly highlights the Orbit Groups & Events team's consistent commitment to exceeding expectations.

Registrations are now open for the 2022 International Breast Cancer Paddlers Commission Festival!

Our Groups & Event team in Auckland are super proud to be the travel partner for this world-class event which will attract thousands to the Mighty River Domain at Lake Karapiro in March/April 2022.

The festival is a participatory event hosted for breast cancer survivor teams across the globe, who have taken up dragon boating as a positive activity in their post-operative rehabilitation.

The New Zealand Government will move to Level 4 at 11:59PM Wednesday 25 March which requires that New Zealanders who are outside of essential services must stay at home. In line with requirements under Alert Level 4, our consultant teams have moved to remote working arrangements.

It’s business as usual for Orbit. Remote working forms part of our Business Continuity Plans and our teams are all enabled to work from home. We realise this is an unsettling time and appreciate your patience as we all navigate this difficult environment.

Orbit Groups & Events helps thousands of school students experience the world every year. One of our groups recently returned from a cultural exchange in Russia. The group of 17 students and three staff from Kāpiti College travelled to visit their sister school in Moscow via Dubai, adding another cultural experience to their trip.

A Desert Safari in Dubai, visiting Red Square in Moscow and watching the Moscow Spartaks take on SKA of St Petersburg in ice hockey were just some of the many highlights for this group. We are really happy you had such a great time! Kāpiti College

In September we had the privilege of working with Corrections on their Annual Leaders Forum held at Te Papa in Wellington. With 160 delegates across two days, Orbit’s Groups & Events team coordinated all aspects of the event including travel, accommodation, venues, registration and onsite support, catering and AV.

Recently our Group & Event’s team helped get a group of young science enthusiasts to the 7th International Young Naturalists' Tournament in Minsk, Belarus. The Tournament is regarded as the world championship of science for under 17-year-old students.

We were absolutely stoked to hear that the team were victorious in coming first out of the 21 teams that competed. Congratulations to the six-person team from Auckland Grammar School, Wellington High School, Hutt Valley High School and Kristin School!

Our Groups & Event team in Auckland are excited to be working on the International Breast Cancer Paddlers Commission (IBCPC) Festival which will be held in the Waikato in 2022. With visitors from 25 plus countries across six continents, the Festival will attract 5,000 paddlers from around the globe who will participate in a regatta at the Mighty River Domain at Lake Karapiro.

The festival is a participatory event hosted for breast cancer survivor teams across the globe, who have taken up dragon boating as a positive activity in their post-operative rehabilitation. Orbit Groups & Events are incredibly proud to be working alongside the IBCPC 2022 Festival team for this amazing event!
