This month we had the opportunity to explore Hong Kong thanks to the Hong Kong Tourism Board and Cathay Pacific.

We visited several new venues including the West Kowloon Cultural District featuring the stunning arts and events venue, the Xiqu Centre and site inspections of the Island ShangriLa, The Landmark Mandarin Oriental and the Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong hotels.

We experienced several activities suited to our customer incentive groups, enhanced our cooking and artistic skills, a leisurely cruise on Victoria Harbour aboard the red-sail Chinese junk boat, otherwise known as Aqua Luna, one of the most recognisable symbols of the city, traversed the city and the Peak by tram, spent more time on the harbour aboard the Star Ferry, took in amazing views from Sky 100 and created many more food memories.

We were hosted by the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong – MO’s first and flagship hotel and as legendary as the city itself. A fun few days in Sydney for our Handa Opera tour.

The highlight was enjoying the HSBC Platinum Club and then seeing West Side Story performed on Sydney Harbour on Friday evening with Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge as the backdrop.

We also had a delicious meal at Pony Dining in The Rocks on Thursday.

Debuting 12 October 2023, W Sydney has a striking exterior and impressive interior design and is an exciting addition to Sydney and the Darling Harbour precinct. A group of NZ incentive and event managers enjoyed a preview and it didn’t disappoint! Not sharing too many details will leave that to W Sydney to make the big reveal on the 12th. UPDATE: Due to the current COVID situation in New Zealand we have made the decision to cancel Masquerade in the Alps which was due to be held on Saturday 25 September.

We are planning to now hold this event in 2022 and will announce a new date soon.

One of NZ’s most unique hotels, the Hermitage, Aoraki/Mount Cook, will host a memorable masquerade party on Saturday 25 September.

Enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail, three-course dinner and drinks before dancing the night away to a live band.
Also included is one nights’ accommodation and buffet breakfast on Sunday morning.
