Fullers360 – our story

Fullers360 was born out of the love of adventure and opening treasured island destinations within the sparkling blue waters of Auckland’s coastal marine park – The Hauraki Gulf / Tīkapa Moana – the jewel in Auckland’s crown. In 1981, a sailing trip inspired a local kiwi family to start the ferry company you see today – with Fullers360 now connecting more than 5 million pas

sengers a year through experiences across the pristine waters of the Hauraki Gulf. With Fullers360, island adventures are so close at hand, it’s no wonder Lonely Planet named Auckland harbour and the Hauraki Gulf the best experience in New Zealand. Fullers360 is proudly sailing across the Hauraki Gulf 365 days a year connecting visitors to the spectacular islands of Waiheke and Rangitoto and is the largest provider of door-to-door island destination experiences in the Gulf. Board a Fullers360 ferry and enjoy the departing Auckland city skyscape in rearview, where in just 40 minutes you’ll find yourself a world-away in island paradise. Whether it’s exploring the great outdoors or sampling the local artisan food and wine, you’ll be greeted by a lush green speckled island, complete with award winning wineries, pristine beaches, and spectacular views on every corner. Waiheke is best known as the 'island of wine' for its many wineries and vineyards - a wine tasting tour, or an indulgent lunch is a must. Waiheke is home to about 30 wineries, and the island has a micro-climate that is ideal for producing Syrah and Cabernet blends. The island is also home to stunning beaches, and walking and cycling tracks for the adventure inclined. Following a ferry ride across the pristine Hauraki Gulf waters with Fullers360, we have a range of on-island packages and transport options to provide ease and convenience to make the most of being on island-time. Experiences include our ‘Waiheke Reserve’ ferry where visitors can skip the queue and sit back and relax on the scenic journey to Waiheke. Enjoy spectacular views and explore the beaches, restaurants, and other activities on the island with door-to-door service – from ferry to bus – to get you where you need to go on the island. Rangitoto

Fullers360 – exclusive access to Rangitoto Island
As the exclusive operator providing access to the awe-inspiring dormant volcanic landscapes of Rangitoto Island, Fullers360 welcomes adventurers on a quest for an extraordinary Kiwi experience. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Hauraki Gulf, Rangitoto’s unique blend of untouched nature and fascinating geology is the perfect daytrip for the intrepid explorer. The dormant volcanic Rangitoto Island is one of the most iconic landmarks in Auckland's city skyline. Sitting majestically off the coast, Rangitoto’s distinctive symmetrical cone rises 260m over the Hauraki Gulf. Fullers360 offers daily ferry services that cater to the wanderlust of adventure seekers. Immerse yourself in the island's natural beauty, hike to the summit for breathtaking panoramic views, and uncover the island's rich Māori history. Enjoy the boundless wonders of Rangitoto, creating memories in one of Hauraki Gulf’s most cherished and exciting escapes.

A huge kia ora to our new international arrivals!

We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of eight Deckhands to the Fullers360 whānau, following a successful international recruitment drive in October after some of our management and HR team headed to Manila.

After a period of training and induction – including extensive on-water training – our cohort of international Deckhands will officially be joining the Fullers360 crew on the water in 3 weeks’ time.

Fullers360 has fully invested in the international recruitment drive, covering all the costs associated with relocation and qualification conversion. This is a significant investment for Fullers360 and demonstrates our commitment to investing in our workforce, driving positive change for the industry-wide skills shortage and our customers – ultimately working towards returning ferry services to pre-pandemic levels across the Hauraki Gulf.

Stay tuned for more updates over the coming months! In the meantime, to our new arrivals – nau mai haere mai ki Aotearoa!

On Saturday we had a team in the Waiheke Football Fix tournament for the very first time. ⚽

FootballFix organises social football leagues, tournaments, and junior programmes across Tāmaki Makaurau – including the beautiful Waiheke Island. A huge shout-out to the team for their commitment to the cause! We had people from all areas of the Fullers360 whānau take part in an exceptional team-building exercise. The dream team played in a total of 5 games and just missed out on getting into the playoffs.

Fullers360 has been involved with travel sponsorship for this tournament for many years, so it was great to get in on the fun!

24/01/2024

From 5 February 2024, in line with our industry colleagues, Fullers360 will be making changes to Waiheke Island commuter fares and multi-passes. Select fares and passes will increase by an average of 4%.

For most passes the increase per trip is as low as approximately 30cents.

We have been working as hard as we can to ensure our customers are affected as little as possible through the increase in operating costs felt across the transport industry.

By assessing where we can absorb the increased operating costs, we have been able to limit our commuter fares increase to an average of 4%, which falls below the 2023 annual inflation rate of 4.7%. There will be no changes to our standard visitor Waiheke Island fare at this time.

More information and updated ferry fares can be found here

From Monday 5 February, Fullers360 is making changes to our commuter fares for Waiheke Island services.
