🍇CCasita Miro Restaurant A total hidden gem. Mediterranean vibes, wine tastings, tapas-style dining, and the charm of its mosaic-filled outdoor area. A must visit when on Waiheke

🌟TTantalus Estate Vineyard This place is hands-down one of my top dining spots in NZ - I can’t recommend this spot enough. A luxurious vineyard experience with award-winning wines and exceptional dining.

The Settlers Hut, originally a WWII Army Hut, was relocated to Oneroa after the war to serve as a home for early settlers. Lovingly restored, it’s now a charming retreat, offering couples and small families a cozy, nostalgic getaway to create lasting memories

The Settlers Hut is a cozy retreat with 2 bedrooms (one sleepout), 2 double beds, a shared bathroom, stunning sea views, and a spa pool. It features a kitchenette, gas BBQ, free Wi-Fi, and is centrally located near beaches and town. Perfect for a relaxing getaway!

Experiencing Passage Rock Wines with .
Passage Rick on Waiheke Island lives up to its reputation as one of the most awarded vineyards on the island. The setting is simply stunning—surrounded by vines and unique art installations, the peaceful atmosphere makes for the perfect dining experience.

I chose ‘The Host’s Table Set Menu’, and every dish was a delight. Highlights included homemade sourdough bread, fresh beef tartare, savory confit mushrooms, perfectly cooked market fish, and a tangy lemon curd to finish. Each course was balanced and paired beautifully with their exceptional wines.

What made the visit even more memorable was being served by the owner, David, who shared fascinating insights into the vineyard’s history and winemaking process.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable experience on Waiheke! 🤍🍷

⛴️ Getting to Waiheke: Hop on a ferry! The most popular options:
from Auckland City ($29.50, 40min)
from Half Moon Bay ($28, 1hr)�Pick the terminal closest to you and enjoy the scenic ride in Hauraki Gulf

🚌Getting around the Island: Grab an HOP card (available at the ferry terminal) and pre-load it before you go. The buses on Waiheke are the easiest, most affordable way to explore and are timed to meet ferry arrivals. Download the AT app for schedules

🚗Other Transport Options: No Uber here! Try app for car or van rentals if you need more flexibility

🥾Coastal Walk: Start at Matiatia Wharf and end in Oneroa for a slice of Waiheke’s natural beauty. This diverse 9km loop takes you through beaches, forests, and rocky terrain. Check tide times before you head out!
