""A better way to travel" - that's how I would describe Globus in five words. The included excursions are excellent, well-organised and the VIP access to some of the more popular places is a breeze. Then the optional excursions are a great way to put the 'cherry on top' of your trip and I'd recommend to step outside of your comfort zone with these. We do most of the optional excursions as they tend to be things that you wouldn't normally do if you were travelling on your own. It's difficult to pick a favourite excursion - for me, these range from medieval feasts in an ancient Irish castle, to dinner and front row seats at the Moulin Rouge in Paris!

We did two tours through England and Ireland in 2019, and then the European Tapestry in 2023. If I had to pin down my favourite place, I would say Rome thanks to its amazing history. We're actually booked to go back to Rome for a few days before our next Globus tour in Greece! However, I have to say that each new city would be my favourite until the next came along and overwhelmed our senses. To be able to visit the iconic places that we've learnt about since primary school (as well as the lesser-known, but equally memorable, places) is why I love to travel. Experiencing the varied way of life from different cultures makes you appreciate what we take for granted in our everyday lives.

Before your next tour, I'd recommend doing your research - like finding out how far it is between stops so that the travel time doesn't come as a surprise. On our last tour, a number of people weren't aware of the distances between A and B.

We've already booked our next Globus tour - the Classical Greece plus Island Hopper - giving us something to look forward to and a new country to explore!"
