Kia ora to all who have come and supported our whanau during these fun times.❤
Thankyou for your contribution toward the lawns and the upkeep of this beautiful space, it is your board hires that pay for all of that.❤
Our family have been doing this for 22 years, through all the scares that have come during these years, the bird flu, the volcanic eruptions around the world that closes airports and of course covid.
Our prices are $15.00 per board and have been for the last 17 years. We interact personally with every single 1 of our customers, making sure they are safe and we have tried to keep the hire of each board to a minimum to help families to enjoy our sport, sandsurfing.🙂
There is however, an issue that is becoming a very big problem.
Alot of people are coming into our space that is beautiful and welcoming and not leaving anything except their rubbish and have no knowledge about the place and what to do.
Our visitors get the full talk about taking care of the dunes and being considerate of other users.
People have been bringing ALOT of boogie boards that don't slide so they then walk all over the sandsurfing spaces, AND leave them stashed around our work truck, or tied to posts encouraging people to use then leave for the next person....off loading their rubbish.
Every year we have to pay for these boards too be disposed of properly. Already we have accumulated afew and it's only been 4 weeks since the last 3 trailers loads of crappy boards.
People arrive with brand new boards prices from $15.00 to $130.00 and they don't slide.
Whanau, do the right thing, come and support locals, don't support the Warehouse.
We do alot of koha for schools, kohanga reo, day care, families with young children.
We clean the dunes every night before we leave, and sadly, every morning before we can even start work, cleaning up toilet paper all around the area.
Really sad as these are adults 😔
NONE OF THESE WORK SO THEY DUMP THEM FOR US TO GET RID OF!
We have since got CTV cameras in place. Ho
To our loyal customers thankyou so much for your continued support.
