Two amazing years together.. Through rain and shine you’ve supported me for the last 24 months and kept me grounded.. it’s always hard saying goodbye.. You gave me unconditional comfort, allowed a full range of motion to my toes and most importantly - went well with white socks in the winter time.

What an awesome project!

There were two key missions here,

Firstly - expose the natural watercourses within these wetlands, open them up and create channels allowing the free-flowing of trapped water which will assist in drying up the areas above and surrounding. The Gabion rock is not only decorative, but it will oxygenate the water as if flows down stream 🤙

Secondly - revegetate the surrounding area with native and wetlands planting.

All in all,

- 120LM of heavy drainage trenches
- 180LM of new watercourses
- curved access bridge
- roading extension for access
- hydroseeding and heavy duty coconut matting to assist with access going forward

The downs
- three stuck diggers (shoutout to Josiah Steiner for the rescue 😉) and the good lads at NZ Machine HIRE for the gear and support!
- more than one swear word
- a few sleepless nights 🤣

Conclusion
- well deserved beers and a proud moment for the team 🤙

A fantastic project in more ways than one.. this really is a landscape project that is about giving back as much as a spot to enjoy!

I’m extremely proud of the team, our clients and everyone involved in this undertaking 🙏

Celebrate your wins 🙌 We made the most of the recent high over New Zealand - we completed the drainage upgrade, final cut out, rocks in place, built all steps and got the deck and seating area locked down in this recent weather window. The site has taken its final shape. Seize the day, so they say! For us at Greenscape - todays was seizing half a day of 🌞 before this low swept through. We placed 25,000kg of stone and cut our way out of site. Super proud to share a recent job we completed for two awesome clients and Smokey the cat. We transformed the front of their property, garden and driveway creating a practical and beautiful space for them to enjoy. Interested in the detail...? The scope demanded a complete overhaul of the property. Works included the removal of nearly 100 cubic meters of dirt and existing pavers, reshaping the land, installation of new stormwater and drainage system, widening the property to the boundary line and constructing new gothic-styled picket fence, installation of two-toned concrete driveway, insitu-concrete stepping stones, mowing strip and concrete walkway to the washing line area, new ready-lawn, garden overhaul with a sub-tropical theme, installation of arbor with stainless-steel wire for climbers which will welcome the clients and their guests from the parking area into the property. Project duration was 5 weeks. We would like to thank those who worked alongside us during this construction process and our two amazing clients! Flourish Garden Concepts - for the beautiful design work Dirt Tech LTD - civil and excavation works O'Malley Contracting Concrete - concrete placement Heritage Gates - installation of automated gate systems We highly recommend the above four companies and look forward to any future works together!
