We thought we would do a quick breakdown of the update today regarding the reopening of New Zealand's border! 🇳🇿
Since there is a lot of info this will be a shorter recap, and we won't be covering the skilled workers, international students, and other more specific categories. You can find the full breakdown here: www.covid19.govt.nz
It was announced this morning that the New Zealand border will reopen to vaccinated New Zealand citizens and residents, travelling from Australia, at 11.59pm 27 February.
Following that it reopens to New Zealand citizens and residents in the rest of the world, on the 13th of March.
In July, fully vaccinated travellers from Australia and visa waiver countries will be welcomed in; with the border fully opening to all in October.
Travellers will still be required to self-isolate for 10 days and test on-arrival, but if New Zealand’s self-isolation period changes, such as a drop to 7 days, the self-isolation period for travellers will also change.
Unvaccinated travellers, and those who do not meet New Zealand’s vaccination requirements, who are eligible to enter New Zealand will continue to enter MIQ.
