It’s like deposing a little bit of fuel into the fire to keep that piece of content circulating around the platform. It directly helps small business owners get their products and services in front of more people who may be interested.⁣

Let’s give it up for the newest member of our bunk .maurerhillaender 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Kate is joining us in NYC and we can’t wait for you all to meet her!⁣

🍌🍫 Kate’s fave canteen treats are banana frozefruit and m&ms.⁣
⁣
1️⃣3️⃣ Kate, her husband, and her oldest daughter are all born on the 13th, each in different months. The year she was born had 3️⃣ Friday the 1️⃣3️⃣ths - each of their birthdays. Her youngest daughter will never forgive her that she was born on the 23rd.⁣
⁣
⛷️🏖️ They are a true fire and ice family - they love skiing but also love going to the beach just as much. But fun fact - the only time she goes in the water is on Visiting Day 💥⁣

🎶📢 Her favorite camp memories include standing on chairs and singing in the Dining Hall and ALL of the traditions that came with being a senior camper.⁣

👯‍♀️🎉 Kate’s proudest accomplishment aside from her daughters?! Being color war general, of course!⁣

Welcome to 𝘊𝘈𝘔𝘗 𝘍𝘌𝘚𝘛!⁣

When gets an idea in her head, it’s hard to talk her out of it! She had a vision surrounding a holiday camp shop, but to make it as campy as possible. She teamed up with Lauren from and Abby from and we watched the camp magic unfold before our eyes! 🏕️ ✨ ⁣
⁣
Parents were able to come shop camp for the holiday season, while campers had a wide range of activities to choose from. Abby’s team worked with campers to create charm bracelets, photo frames and had a patch bar. Lauren not only had all her items available to order for camp, but also had a Jibbitz bar and was customizing camp t-shirts in anticipation of camp t-shirt day next week. And in true fashion, we had a canteen where kids could come and decorate their own tackle boxes + then fill with candy 🍬🍭 (because obviously right after Halloween you need more candy!)⁣

It was the perfect way to spend part of the day off from school and the best way to start the prepping and excitement that comes as we get closer to camp! ☀️ ⁣

𝘖𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘈𝘵 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘱⁣
⁣We all want our children to be happy + successful. Would you believe that letting them spread their wings - without us - may be the most effective way to do this? Our job as parents is to give our children the tools they need to go out in the world + discover who they are + what they want to become. ⁣
Michael Thompson, a clinical psychologist + author of “Homesick + Happy” says that “Parents can sometimes seriously impede their children’s development. As a parent, there are many things you cannot do for your children. You cannot give your child confidence, you cannot pick or manage their friendships, + you cannot always be their advocate/agent/manager/coach.” Thompson goes on to explain the benefits of sleepaway camp+ how critical it is for children + teens to have these experiences. ⁣

So again, only at camp-here are some aspects that help kids + teens discover their purpose: ⁣

𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦: camp provides a space for children to naturally grow into their own identities + become more self-sufficient, increasing their confidence. ⁣

𝘎𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦: children begin to see the world a bit differently at camp - away from their comfort zone + exposed to new people + experiences, they gain a new + broader perspective. They realize that they are part of something bigger than themselves + their immediate family.⁣
⁣
𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺: children benefit from being part of a unique community at sleepaway camp. It gives them a sense of belonging, which will improve their ability to cooperate, contribute + serve their future communities as caring members of society. ⁣
⁣
𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴: and the list goes on. Patience, responsibility, teamwork, leadership, resilience, problem solving, creativity, empathy, flexibility + confidence are just some of the skills that are developed at camp. ⁣

𝘊𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧-𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯: when kids unplug they become more mindful of their surroundings + their own emotions. They are able to focus on the simple things in life. This change of pace can lead to emotional growth.⁣
