The 2025 Booking.com Traveller Review Awards have been announced.
I am thrilled to share The Terrace, Aqua on Reed and Quarterdeck have all received Awards for their exceptional guest hosting throughout 2024.

Since 2016 we have received a total of 31 Booking.com Guest Review Awards with all 3 properties having been recognised annually with consecutive awards since their opening. Fingers crossed we can achieve the same for 2025!

These awards are given each year to accommodation hosts who have consistently exceeded traveller’s expectations. That’s no easy accomplishment. According to Booking.com, that takes incredible hard work, dedication, and passion. In their words, the home-away-from-home experience we offer is something special, which our guests have recognized with outstanding ratings.

Now that’s worth celebrating and sharing.

We are hiring!

If you enjoy the flexibility of part-time casual work in a lovely environment then we have a position for you.

We are looking for a reliable cleaner to join our existing cleaning team to assist in preparing our holiday homes for each of our upcoming guest visits.

The hours of work are between 10.00am and 2.00pm, on a weekday and weekend roster. Applicants must be able to work autonomously as well as part of an efficient, friendly team; be conscientious and committed, have a good work ethic, have their own transport and an eye for detail.

This is an excellent role to fit in around your family commitments and lifestyle. Cleaning experience is valued but not essential as full training will be provided. Applicants must have good references and be willing to work on some weekends on a flexible, casual roster.

I remember just how excited and proud we were back in 2016 when we received our first Booking.com award for Aqua on Reed. We were so thrilled to know that we were exceeding our guest expectations and giving them an exceptional guest experience.

Since 2016 we have received a total of 22 Booking.com Guest Review Awards with all 5 properties having been recognised annually with consecutive awards since their opening. Fingers crossed we can achieve the same for 2022!

These awards are given each year to accommodation hosts who have consistently exceeded traveller’s expectations. That’s no easy accomplishment, especially in the midst of a global pandemic.

According to Booking.com, that takes a lot of hard work, vision, coordination and attention to detail and in their words; we have EXCELLED!

YAYYYYYYY!!! Now that’s worth celebrating and sharing.

Despite having long since closed our doors at Villa Pleas-Ure and Bonny on Clyde back in 2020 (when we could see the Pandemic writing on the wall) we have endured with our business;

If I can just add one more comment here, it would be the words FAITH and OPTIMISM! Having come so very close to closing our doors during our darkest and most worrying times during this pandemic we are ever so grateful and thankful to our New Zealand guests. With their support we have managed to keep the faith and remain optimistic that our Tourism Industry will recover and eventually emerge even stronger.
