You will be surprised at what you can grow here in Canterbury. And just think of all that juicy sweet fruit you and your family and friends can enjoy! It does take time (5-6 years) for fruit trees to get established and fruit should be removed from young trees, so all the growth goes into establishing your trees as quick as possible. Hence its a good idea to plant berry fruit so you can eat them after 1 or 2 years. If you prefer I can come to your property for a consultancy and draw up a plan with the varities you wish to grow.
