Cleddau Valley
Driving through the Homer Tunnel, seeing that light at the end of the tunnel getting bigger. These views are like something out of a dream come true. On a sunny, or rainy day, you will not be disappointed. If you’re lucky to go after lots of rain, then you’ll see hundreds of temporary waterfalls making their way Down the side of the mountains surrounding you.

Mirror Lakes
On a day with no wind, this lake is just like it’s name, a mirror. With a short walk along the edge of part of the small lake, this is a great spot to stretch the legs and catch some views. Listen to the bird song and try to count how many different birds you can hear. How many ducks are sitting on the lake during your visit? Can you spot any eels or fish swimming underneath?

Milford Swing
With views that looks like something out of a dream, this swing is hidden with a 10 minute walk away from the boat terminal.
Ask your guide for directions and you’ll be able to be on your way.

#4 on top 5 stops on the journey to Milford Sound
Eglinton Valley
Named after the Earl of Eglinton, this valley with lowland beech forest is where you will fine one of two known populations of the New Zealand short-tailed bats.
You won’t see the bats, but you will be able to stop and get photos in this long stretch of tussock as pictured.
