Like everyone Ahipara Travel is on the look out for a high energy, extremely competent and experienced Itinerary Designer to join our team. We are busy and excited to be rebuilding. The position is fully remote - we meet 2-3 times each year as a team, somewhere special in New Zealand where we dive deep into a region so that we can share it with our clients.

We are looking for someone who will fit easily into our team and will be ready to start building itineraries from day one. Past experience is essential and preferably experience in Tourwriter. We had the privilege of walking a small part of the Hollyford Track near Martins Bay on the 25th November as the Ahipara Team were flown in by Fiordland Helicopters to experience the magnificent environment that we are all caretakers of. It is with pleasure that on behalf of The Conscious Travel Foundation that Ahipara are founding members of we have made a donation to help with the incredible work that is being done by a small team of volunteers and we look forward to being able to do some of the mahi (work) when they need more hands for trap checking and path clearing. Thank you Bard Crawford and Kim Hollows for allowing us to connect with this part of your world.

The Tourism Industry Aotearoa (TIA) ran a Matariki webinar and while watching it I felt proud about the journey New Zealand is on, engaging and learning from our Maori Community. The governments decision to add a National Holiday to our calendar for Matariki is another step forward.
This year Ahipara is celebrating Matariki by firstly fondly and sadly looking back and remembering the Ahipara Team that we have lost due to Covid, secondly, appreciating the support that we have had over the last 15 months from our family, friends, community and government and lastly we are excited to be planning for the future and how we can rebuild Ahipara to be better and stronger, creating more value and connection for our visitors when they return.
