Maybe we should include a drive up to the cardrona resort on our Warbirds over Wanaka Tour next March… there won’t be snow but the views are majestic and I’d LOVE to share this with you!!

We stay at the Hilton in Queenstown so a trip over the crown range with Dinner at the old Cardrona Hotel is already booked!!

Step up your game grandparents!! We’ve visited the property of a ex-aerospace engineer who built a roller coaster and a maze just for his grandkids!!

Our last two days have been filled with visiting passionate kiwis and enjoying the finer things in life.

We met a talking Kōkako and some healthy kiwis at Pukaha wildlife, viewed the unusual collection of Reed Organs that belonged to Milton and Rosalie Wainwrights of Woodville, tasted the stunning Blue Earth wine and olive oil at Margaret and Mike Hanson’s Martinborough farm, enjoyed a delectable lunch at Moy Hall vineyard and relished in the festivities of the Greytown Festival of Christmas!

The festival was outstanding- Greytown don’t do things by halves and the community have a lot to be proud about. Markets, street performers, lightshows and so much more. Join us next year!!! A truly wonderful Mid Winter Christmas 🎄.

Day 1 - Festival of Christmas Tour - Wairarapa

Our first day of our tour was amazing! The service on our Northern Explorer Train journey from Auckland to Palmerston North was brilliant. We all enjoyed sitting back and taking in the unique vistas from the comfort of our seats and some from the viewing platform. The whole experience was a fabulous way to take-in the epic North Island landscapes.
