What we hope you will bring to us:
• Drainage Experience – either Foreman, or 2IC level experience
• A full driver’s licence. Holding WTR would be an advantage.
• A Level 4 Qualification in Stormwater or Wastewater would be an advantage. Ongrade can assist in gaining this qualification.
• Being an CCC approved installer would be an advantage. Again Ongrade can help you gain this.
• Able to read, interpret and set heights to civil plans without issue.
• Must be competent working alone and as part of a team, taking responsibility and aiming for high quality standards.
• Must be competent with a range of machinery and equipment from lasers and compaction equipment to excavators and loaders.
• A great attitude, with the ability to motivate and direct staff within your crew.

Our crew started on a new project in Kaiapoi this week, we are upgrading the water, storm water and sewer on Raven Quay. It's great to have a project back in our home town.

Last week Ongrade started establishing onsite in Hanmer Springs, we will be completing earthworks, sewer, stormwater, waters, services, roading, kerb & channel and landscaping for 11 lots in the first stage of this subdivision.

Experienced Pozi Track Operator

Ongrade is looking to add an Experienced Pozi Track Operator to our team.

We are a North Canterbury company based in Kaiapoi, who specialise in civil construction.

We are looking for an experienced operator with at least 5 years' experience. You must have experience in the civil industry and the ability to operate the pozi track efficiently and effectively. Operators must hold their WTR licence.

This is a diverse role, operating a new John Deere 331G with Sharpgrade 2.95mtr blade, 4 in 1 multi-purpose bucket and fitted out with a Topcon GPS and Total Station machine control. We are looking for someone physically fit with a can-do attitude to get involved and assist with finishing roading, carparks and other areas such as berms or sports fields.
What we need you to bring to us:

• 5yrs experience in the civil industry.
• Knowledge and understanding of compaction standards for different aggregates.
• Knowledge and understanding of road formation.
• The ability to prep kerb lines from the control screen.
• Operate to fine tolerances, less than 5mm.
• Understanding of the machine control and sharp grade blade.
• An understanding/knowledge of GPS and/or total station setup at a site.
• Full Class 1, WTR Licence.
• Able to self-manage whilst onsite and provide direction to others working with you.
