BREAKING NEWS! It's official, Disney Cruise Line is coming Down Under. Disney Wonder has been announced as the first ship to sail down here from October next year for a limited time. She will have cruises ex Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane AND AUCKLAND! If you have plans to finally be able to travel this year, I suggest you check your passports to make sure they still have enough validity on them. If not, don't delay in renewing them :)

If you’re finally booking that international trip please be aware that the current processing time for a standard New Zealand passport application is 22 days (plus delivery time).

New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has issued a warning as its passport office continues to experience processing delays due to reduced staff on site.

Urgent passport applications are still available.

Cruising has now resumed in 52 countries worldwide and Australasia remains one of the only major cruise regions where governments have not progressed plans for resumption. More than 3 million people have now sailed since cruise has restarted, underpinned by robust and detailed Covid-safe protocols, while governments in Australia and New Zealand are still yet to agree on plans for a local revival.

🙌 COOKS TRAVEL BUBBLE RULES 🙌

Here’s the low down on the Cooks Bubble ‘rules’:

• Quarantine-free travel applies to all travellers in New Zealand and the Cook Islands who meet the eligibility requirements to travel.

• Travellers will have to have been in the Cook Islands or New Zealand for at least 14 days before travel. Those wanting to travel between Australia and the Cooks need to spend at least 14 days in New Zealand in the middle.

• No-one should travel if they are unwell, if they are waiting on a C-19 test, or if they have been in contact with anyone suspected to have C-19.

• There is no requirement for a pre-departure C-19 test, but travellers will have to complete a travel declaration, provide a health declaration and there will be random health checks at airports.

• Normal immigration rules for entry into each country continue to apply. Travellers will need to check what that means for their individual situation.

• From 17 May travellers in both directions will not have to enter managed quarantine facilities.

• Flights will be operating as ‘green’, with measures in place through the traveller journey to keep travellers separate from ‘red’ flights to/from New Zealand where passengers need to enter MIQ.
