Round the Vines and Martinborough School are pleased to announce our new date of Saturday 4th November 2023. This does mean that we have decided not to host an event in 2022 but to move forward next year with a new date. We are very excited about the new time of year and the opportunities it opens for an improved course.

For those who currently hold tickets for the postponed March 2022 event, if you wish to seek a refund please email [email protected] with your registration details by 30 September 2022 and a refund will be processed otherwise we will transfer your registration to our new date of Saturday 4th November 2023.

Keep an eye on our page and website for updates and ticket sale information. We are looking forward to hosting the event again and welcoming you to Martinborough in November 2023. Thank you for your continued support of our school fundraiser, putting the fun in fun run!

"First, I would like to point out that the photographs do not nearly do justice to how beautiful this property is; we arrived on the Friday afternoon, and jaws were dropped all round. The setting is magnificent, mountain ranges abound, open fields with fresh, clean air, and the well tended gardens surrounding a lovely patio. The wrap around verandah allows one to follow the sun, or shelter from the light wind if needed. The welcoming committee of a friendly cow, and a shy but interested sheep in the paddock to the back, made us feel right at home. I’m almost certain I saw them frolicking with a cat, at one stage; it was truly heart warming. The property is in a perfect location for comfortable wine tour bicycle adventures; distant enough that you can enjoy the farce of a 4 person bike, but close enough that you’re not knackered & disheveled by the time you arrive at the wineries. (A note for some of The Lads™️ spotted at these: wineries deserve fineries - trucker caps do not count, for reference of dress code, look at the effort your female has put in to her appearance!). Further, it is in comfortable walking distance to the restaurants of the town square - the walk back after an oversized meal and a few wines is oh so welcome. The collective reported comfortable beds all round, and for a bunch of snobs, that is saying something. There was an outrageously well stacked inventory of firewood, ample gas for the bbq, and there were almost too many towels, truly, we were want for nothing! My one complaint is that I have nothing to complain about, as that is a dear passion of mine. If you’re looking for an immaculately maintained property to rent, and you’re somehow considering others - disregard the others immediately, this is clearly the correct property and you must do your best to lock it in haste-post-haste. No - no excuses, no indecision, I won’t hear of it! Just book it in! Thank you for letting us stay at this wonderful place :]"

We are excited to be launching a new shorter wine walk offering.

Our afternoon meander will be perfect for visitors arriving into Martinborough who have enjoyed a vineyard lunch and are ready to do some off road exploring.

Our 3 hour experience will take in two vineyards for tasting, a walk along the Martinborough terrace and finish off at the Martinborough Wine merchants for a gin tasting.

This experience can be booked for two at $145pp or for 4 people it is $110 pp

We run this tour on Monday (except public holidays), Thursday & Friday & will be taking bookings from 13th May.

The wine walk experience takes you along the vines, journeying between vineyards, over fences and through gates.

As you walk our lead guide Matt shares what is happening at that point in time.

Right now we are heading into Harvest and so Matt shares exactly what winemakers are looking for, and the process from grape vine to bottle.
