Denarau Island is a very popular holiday destination located just 20 minutes from Nadi airport in Western Fiji. Travellers from all over the world flock to this recreational haven to unwind in the beautiful ‘year round’ warm climate. Luxury Adventures recently played the@denaraugolfandracquetclub golf course. On arrival you’ll experience the warmest welcome by your incredible hosts & staff who instantly make you feel at home. Luxury Adventures had the pleasure of visiting this paradise island recently & as you can see the views speak for themselves. Every villa is stunning & no matter where you’re located on the island it's win - win! Either wake up to the beautiful sunrise or relax in your own plunge pool (every villa has one!) while watching the sun set

It’s hard to believe this stunning resort could get any better, but come June the property will be undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation which makes for an exciting new chapter for the island & its lucky guests.

There are endless activities on & around Royal Davui & an absolute must is snorkelling around the island! This was such an incredible experience & the water temperature is absolutely divine.

Being treated to lunch was an absolute delight - The food on Royal Davui is exquisite & it comes as no surprise they’ve just won the “Excellence in Food Tourism” at the ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards.

Luxury Adventures was fortunate enough to stay at the award winning Headwaters Eco Lodge recently. Nestled amidst stunning mountain ranges and Lake Whakatipu, this premium rustic lodge epitomises sustainability without sacrifice. It is the first ever accommodation facility designed & certified to Living Building Challenge standards - the worlds most rigorous & comprehensive sustainability guidelines. During my stay I had the privilege of an insightful tour with Kath, who highlighted the incredible features of the lodge. The incorporation of recycled materials from the Christchurch earthquakes & even old local wool sheds adds a unique & compelling dimension to the lodges story. Dinner at The Headwaters Eco Lodge was a culinary delight, with a garden to table ethos & a focus on local & seasonal produce, making each dish truly exquisite. Another highlight was an early morning dip in Lake Whakatipu, serving as both cold water immersion & an unparalleled experience against the backdrop of breathtaking scenery! Happy 2024! May it be your most rewarding year yet. On New Years day we hiked the Mount Tuhua track located in the Lake Kaniere Scenic Reserve (which is just outside of Hokitika) in the South Island, New Zealand. 7.2km (round trip) for 1100metres of elevation and spectacular 360 degree views of the West Coast and Southern alps. Challenging but well worth it. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore and hike around the West Coast tracks.

We had the delightful experience of staying at The Rees Hotel, Luxury Apartments and Lakeside Residences recently, and there's nothing quite like waking up to those breathtaking views! Their Residence’s are a perfect choice for families planning to hit the slopes in the upcoming months, complete with a drying room & spa for a relaxing soak at the end of the day. A huge thanks to Dart River Adventures for hosting us on their Wilderness Jet Experience - talk about slice of paradise! An absolute must-do when exploring Queenstown NZ !

If you’re in Nadi, Fiji and looking for a simple and fun activity, why not check out the Sleeping Giant Zipline and Jungle Hike!? You’ll get transferred to and from your resort and taken to spend the day in the Fijian jungle. The drive itself is a great way to be able to see some of the countryside outside of some of the more populated areas and takes about 40 mins from Denarau. Upon arrival we geared up and were given our safety briefing. There were 7 lines in total to zip along, each varying in lengths over some thick and beautifully green Fijian jungle. The instructors were very friendly and also helpful. After our ziplining experience we had a lovely guided walk past dinosaurs, through the jungle to finish up at a couple of waterfalls. The swim was a lovely way of cooling off in the humidity and the water temperature was great!
