We had the pleasure of hosting Mike & Heidi McRoberts and Hannah Barrett for a Whanganui Tours adventure!
Their day began with a scenic Tour visiting Marae's, followed by a cultural waka experience with Hayden & Lulu Unique Whanganui River Experience on the beautiful Whanganui River, ending in a cycle Journey. Together, they embraced the beauty and spirit of our region with smiles and enthusiasm.

Adventures with Mike, Heidi & Hannah! 🚴‍♀️🚣‍♂️

We were thrilled to host Mike & Heidi McRoberts and Hannah Barrett for an unforgettable Whanganui Tours experience!

Their day began with a scenic tour of the Whanganui River Road, including a visit to Koriniti Marae and coffee at the Old Convent. They immersed themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the region before continuing with an incredible waka experience on the awa, led by Hayden and Lulu from Unique Whanganui River Experience , paddling the sacred waters and connecting with our whānau. The day concluded with a picturesque bike ride along the awa into Whanganui. 🌿

Updated 🚴‍♀️🌿 Mangapurua Track Not Quite Open! 🥾🌉
Big thanks to the Department of Conservation team for their hard work—riders and walkers trying to get access the Bridge to Nowhere and Mangapurua Landing! 🙌 The team were a bit ahead of themselves. They are aiming to complete this work to a good standard on Friday. 🌟 Enjoy the adventure to come! (Photos of repaired slip to come)

Update. NOW OPEN 13/11/24 See comments below.. We have a major slip between the Bridge to Nowhere and the Mangapurua Landing. It is impassable. The team from Department of Conservation are working on a solution. This impacts the riders and the walkers . We will update our trail status page soon
