Invisible Cities Manchester Walking Tour
We were privileged to have Andy take us on a tour of Manchester as he sees it through a unique perspective. Having experienced homelessness, he has now retrained as a tour guide with Invisible Cities. His raw, gritty perspective matched the soul of the city perfectly. We loved our day with Andy, and we know you'll enjoy it too!

We had a lot of fun at the I Grew Up 80s exhibit at Maidstone museum. We were singing along to the jingles of toy ads and TV theme songs. Went straight out and bought myself some fluro pink fingerless gloves (true story).

It's all about potential. A tiny hole in the roof was what sold us on this renovation project in Montenegro. A lot of work and a lot of learning to be done - exciting!!

A new day, a new challenge! We knew renovation was risky...
The to-do list is slowly being accomplished, and we are learning so much along the way. We have a growing awareness (and appreciation) of how much we have taken for granted the daily conveniences of modern city life. We are really enjoying the new perspective our dramatic change of lifestyle is bringing.
The perfect way to end a day of hard work šŖ and progress. In the meantime we ended the day by walking to the beach for dinner & drinks while we watch the sunset.
A little insight into the "you get what you pay for" scenario when you buy a cheap house in Montenegro. šš
The arrival episode - in which we struggle to find our house...
Day 3 - Slovenia & Croatia - stunning! The closer we get the more beautiful our surroundings.
10 years ago, Cat and I left NZ to try out life from a new perspective. Neither of us have stopped exploring since. Yesterday we texted each other a video snapshot of the street we were each standing in at the same time....
Betty (our 22yr old Suzuki Ignis), loaded with all our possessions, took on the challenge of the Austrian mountains and did us proud! Day Two and we are 523km closer to our new home.
Our last day in Germany. This country was great to us, especially during COVID times, and we have much to be thankful for.
It was time to say "so long for now" to the wonderful friends we have made at ISD. You made a mark on our hearts (and our car) and will be with us wherever we roam
