Top tips to increase your chances of having a view clara⬇️
🌤️ Visit during the dry season (May-September) for the best weather - we went on the last day of July!
🌄Arrive early after sunrise or visit in the afternoon (2pm)+ for clearer views. The clouds parted while we were there, which was like a revelation in itself ☁️
🛌Check the forecast and be flexible-stay overnight in Aguas Calientes and if you're not in a hurry adjust based on the weather or visit multiple times.
Want an epic view? Hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain to get above the clouds (be sure to plan ahead and have a ticket).

The salt mines of Maras are located at 3,000 meters above sea level and approximately 1 hour and a half from the city of Cusco. These are salt mines and their exploitation is as old as the Tahuantinsuyo.
Located on the hillside, the salt mines, in the form of terraces or platforms, are filled by subway water that flows down the ravine.
