We have been closely monitoring Orlando theme park closures due to Hurricane Milton, and assisting our clients with changes and impacts for their vacations.
Please keep in mind that the theme parks’ biggest consideration in these tough decisions is for the safety of their guests, cast members, and team members.
Both Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort are keeping guests informed via their websites, and that will be the best place to go for up-to-date information. Below are the closures listed as of 5:00 PM Tuesday, Oct. 8.
🏰Walt Disney World Resort Closures🏰
—On Wednesday, Oct. 9, our theme parks and Disney Springs will be closed in phases beginning at 1 p.m.
—Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will close at 1 p.m.
—Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2 p.m.
—It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, Oct. 10. We will consider opening Disney Springs Thursday late afternoon with limited offerings.
—This includes the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom on Oct. 10. Event tickets will be refunded.
🎢Universal Orlando Resort Closures🎢
—On Wednesday, Oct. 9, Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Universal CityWalk will be open until 2 p.m. and will be closed on Thursday, Oct. 10.
—Universal Volcano Bay will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10.
—Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida is canceled for Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10.
