𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗟 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗬 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗔𝗧 𝗢𝗥𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗨𝗠 𝗢𝗞𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗗
The City Council recently granted authority to Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong representing the city government to enter into a memorandum of agreement with the Rizal Monument Barangay for the same to occupy the space for its temporary barangay hall and office at the Orchidarium in Burnham Park.

Under Resolution No. 550, series of 2024, The Committee on Laws, Human Rights and Justice, in its 2nd indorsement dated September 4, 2024, recommended approval of an earlier request to grant authority to the local chief executive to enter into an agreement with the Rizal Monument Barangay.

Earlier, City Environment and Parks Management Officer Atty. Rhenan G. Diwas requested authority for the mayor to enter into a memorandum of agreement with the Rizal Monument barangay for the same to occupy a space at the Orchidarium in Burnham Park as their temporary barangay hall and office.

The CEPMO stated that the administration, management, maintenance and operation of all public parks in the city is under the control and supervision of the city government through the said office, including all activities, facilities and improvements to the same.

Further, it is the responsibility of the city government through the CEPMO to develop and implement plans and programs and whenever necessary to collaborate with other government and non-government organizations for the access of needed resources to further improve or develop the various park facilities making them more conducive and people-friendly.

The Rizal Monument Barangay made prior consultations with the CEPMO and requested to use a portion of the Orchidarium in Burnham Park as their temporary barangay hall and office.

The council requested the submission of the signed agreement to the body for confirmation and immediate implementation in the future.

Moreover, the body requested the City Buildings and Architecture Office to issue a certificate of electrical inspection relative to electrical connections on the space occupied as temporary barangay hall and office of the Rizal Monument Barangay. By Dexter A. See
