Mt. Camisong Forest Park and Events, located in Barangay Loacan, Itogon, Benguet, hosted its soft opening earlier today, unveiling a new ecotourism destination set to officially open on February 1, 2025. This forest park offers a unique mountain tourism experience with a strong commitment to sustainability and conservation.

Among its standout features is the “𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙖𝙥” View Deck, where visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Benguet’s lush mountains and pine forests. The “𝘿𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙗” Amphitheater serves as a venue for performances by local and visiting talents.
Other developments, including the Garden Park, Children’s Park, and forest trails like the “𝘼𝙡𝙥𝙖𝙨” Mountain Bike Trail, are expected to be completed this year.

Staying true to its sustainability mission, Mount Camisong bans single-use plastics, promotes reusable alternatives and implements eco-friendly practices such as composting and rainwater collection.

Baguio and Upland Luzon to Experience 9°C Temperatures in February 🌲

BAGUIO CITY – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecasts temperatures in mountainous areas of Luzon to drop to around 9°C in February 2025. This chilly weather is attributed to the northeast monsoon and shear line effects.

Residents are advised to boost their immune systems by getting enough rest, maintaining a balanced diet, and keeping warm to prevent influenza-like illnesses, which have seen a significant increase in the past year.
