As part of the RoadTrippers Countryside and Historical Day Tour, the Bataan Technology Park Inc. [BTPI] or the former Philippine Refugee Processing Center will offer an hour of guided Cultural and Heritage tour about our Indochinese neighbors.

History in the making . . . four hundred thousand refugees from Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia struggled and went all the way to Philippines for temporary resettlement. This is where they found new hope, friendship, dignity, and new beginnings through the help of the Philippine Refugee Processing Center (PRPC). But, the journey doesn't end here for stories of the past are preserved and brought back to life by the former PRPC; the Bataan Technology Park, Incorporated (BTPI). Thus, the humanitarian legacy continues.

BTPI, found in Morong, Bataan, is a 365 hectare land serving as a home of cultural heritage, economic development, and a wide variety of flora and fauna. The place has conserved the shrines, monuments, and the things that are built and made by the Indochinese refugees. It also has a museum treasuring a monkey house, captured pictures from the past, and the actual boat that was used by the refugees to transfer here in our country.

Bataan International Triathlon Race Course Map:

Swim Course: Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar shoreline
The Bataan International Triathlon starts off with a swim in the calm and clear waters of the West Philippine Sea right on the shoreline of Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar.
Largo - 1.5km Swim (2 x 750m)
Rapido - 750m Swim (1 loop)

Transition:
Participants then race towards the iconic gate of Las Casas where their bikes await them.

Bike Course:
From transition, the athletes make their way towards the national road, turning left past the Filipino-Japanese Friendship Tower and towards the municipality of Morong. On the bike course, the cyclists navigate through hilly and winding roads as they go past the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant and down into Morong proper before making a U-Turn in Sabang and ride back towards Las Casas where they will change into their running gear.
Largo - 55km Bike
Rapido - 30km Bike

Run Course:
The run course takes athletes past rice fields and scenic ocean views as they run on the roads leading to Mt. Mariveles, conquering some hills along the way. Athletes then turn back towards Las Casas where they will run past its heritage homes before crossing the bridge towards the finish line where a fiesta awaits them.

Rapido - 5.5km Run
