The Philippines rests on the Pacific’s earthquake and volcano Ring of Fire. Therefore, the Philippines is one of the most natural hazard-prone countries in the world. Typhoon Yolanda killed 6,000 people because of a lack of knowledge about the term “storm surge” and a lack of awareness about the effects of typhoons.



Hence, it is a must that people must be aware and knowledgeable about the importance of having enough information about disaster preparedness and calamity response.
