Starting in 2023, the Korean Embassy appointed applicants to secure an appointment of submission to process their visa. Great news, tourists staying in the country for less than 59 days can apply for their visa for free!
To guide you, here is a step-by-step procedure on how to apply for your visa and explore Korea soon!
1. Determine your type of visa: Visit the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines to check the different types of visas available and determine which one is appropriate for your purpose of travel, such as a tourist, business, or student visa.
2. Gather the required documents: Prepare the necessary documents for your visa application. The specific requirements may vary depending on the type of visa you are applying for. GENERALLY for tourists, you will need the following:
- Completed visa application form
- Valid Philippine passport
- Passport-sized photos
- Proof of travel arrangements (flight tickets and day-to-day itinerary, if applicable)
- Proof of accommodation (hotel reservation, if applicable)
- Proof of financial capacity
- Employment certificate or business registration documents
- Invitation letter (if applicable)
- Additional documents specific to your visa type
3. Complete the application form, type-written: Fill out the visa application form accurately and completely. Ensure that all information provided is correct and matches the information in your supporting documents.
4. Schedule an appointment: Visit the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines to schedule an appointment for visa submission. The embassy usually requires applicants to submit their applications in person.
