𝙳𝚊𝚢 𝟿: 𝒜𝓁𝒶𝓂𝒾𝓃ℴ𝓈 🤴 📜 𝚂𝚑𝚘𝚛𝚝 𝙷𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚢 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀 began as a barrio of 𝑺𝒂𝒏 𝑷𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒐, which was then only a town in the 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒔. Its initial name was 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚, denoting the presence of long and deep ravines. 🌿 Until 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀 got its name from 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐧-𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐬 𝐍𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚, the 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒇 𝒆𝒙𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒐𝒇 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒔 in which the area the present-day municipality covers was once part of. 🫅 🎊𝙲𝚘𝚛𝚊𝚖𝚋𝚕𝚊𝚗 𝙵𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚟𝚊𝚕 An 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐞-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 which starts every 𝙾𝚌𝚝𝚘𝚋𝚎𝚛 𝟷𝟸. The Franciscans arrived in 𝟏𝟓𝟕𝟖 to evangelize the people of Pila and soon afterward built a church dedicated to sᴛ. ᴀɴᴛʜᴏɴʏ ᴏғ ᴘᴀᴅᴜᴀ, the first Antonine house of worship in the Philippines. The town of Pila is the site for some well-preserved houses dating back to the Spanish period as well as the old Saint Anthony of Padua Parish Church, the first Antonine church in the Philippines. It was ᴅᴏɴ ғᴇʟɪᴢᴀʀᴅᴏ ʀɪᴠᴇʀᴀ, who donated his lands to the church and municipal government, the recognized founder of the town. He is the ancestor of one of the prominent families in Pila such as ʀɪᴠᴇʀᴀ, ʀᴇʟᴏᴠᴀ, ᴀɢʀᴀ, and Áʟᴀᴠᴀ surnames. 🎊 𝙵𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚟𝚊𝚕 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐡 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 It is named after its town's ancient name Pila, Laguna. "PAILAH" also derived from 𝑷𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒚 (𝑹𝒊𝒄𝒆)🌾 as their major crop since the Hispanic era, 𝑰𝒔𝒅𝒂 (𝑭𝒊𝒔𝒉)🐟 since the municipality is also near the lake, Tilapia is also one of their livelihood, 𝑳𝒊𝒍𝒐𝒌
