It’s official! Landers Superstore, one of the country’s premier and largest membership shopping destinations, has officially confirmed the location of its 16th branch—right in the heart of Cabanatuan City! Following the opening of Landers Superstore in Vermosa, Imus, Cavite.

The upcoming superstore will rise along Maharlika Highway, at the corner of Gen. Tinio Extension (Diversion Road) in Brgy. Sumacab Este, near Jollibee on Diversion Road. This exciting development will mark the biggest Landers branch in Nueva Ecija and possibly the grandest retail destination in the city.

Construction is expected to begin very soon, with the project estimated to generate over 4,000 job opportunities for Novo Ecijanos and nearby residents—boosting local employment and the city’s growing economy.

Inaanyayahan po ng City Government of Cabanatuan ang mga Cabanatueno upang mag-donate ng cash o in-kind para matulungan ang mga pamilyang nawalan ng tahanan. Kabilang sa mga pangunahing pangangailangan ang damit (para sa lalaki, babae, at bata), food supply, hygiene kits, school supplies at toiletries.

Heads up, motorists and commuters! The much-anticipated Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX) Phase I is on track for completion by July 2025, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). This flagship project is part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s “Build Better More” infrastructure program, aiming to boost connectivity and balanced development beyond Metro Manila.

The current focus is the 30-kilometer Cabanatuan Section (Contract Package 4), which is now 98% complete, despite previous delays due to right-of-way concerns. Once operational, this expressway will be a total game changer for Central Luzon:

Cuts travel time between Tarlac City and Cabanatuan City from 70 minutes to just 20 minutes!

- Expected to serve over 11,200 vehicles daily

- Eases traffic, boosts logistics, and strengthens economic activity across the region

Key infrastructure in this package includes modern interchanges, bridges, and safer, more efficient roadways—making travel faster, safer, and more convenient for all.

CLLEX is more than just a road—it’s a major step forward for progress in Nueva Ecija and the entire Central Luzon region.

A magnitude 4.6 earthquake struck 24 km northwest of General Nakar, Quezon at 12:17 PM on May 27, 2025, with a shallow depth of 10 km, according to PHIVOLCS.

Reported Intensities:

Intensity IV: Makati, Manila, Marikina; San Pedro (Laguna); Tanay (Rizal)

Intensity III: Navotas, Quezon City, Pasay, San Juan, Taguig; parts of Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, and Laguna

Intensity II: Mandaluyong, Parañaque, Valenzuela; Obando (Bulacan); towns in Nueva Ecija

Instrumental Intensities:
