The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has plans for a significant infrastructure project known as the Nueva Ecija-Bulacan Bypass Road (also referred to as the San Miguel-Cabanatuan Bypass Road). This proposed bypass aims to link the Plaridel Bypass Road in San Rafael, Bulacan, with the Emilio Vergara Highway in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. The project is designed to improve connectivity, reduce travel time, and ease traffic congestion in Central Luzon by creating a more efficient route between Nueva Ecija and Bulacan.

This initiative aligns with the region’s broader infrastructure development, including expansions like the Cabanatuan-Sta. Rosa Bypass Road and potential linkages to major expressways such as the North Luzon East Expressway (NLEE). These projects are intended to enhance transportation networks and stimulate economic growth by facilitating smoother travel for goods and commuters. The bypass road will also complement other expressway initiatives, creating seamless travel corridors from Nueva Ecija to Metro Manila and other regions.

DEVELOPMENT AND POTENTIAL:

ALIAGA: Known for its expanding agricultural industry, particularly rice farming, the town has seen steady growth in infrastructure and commerce.

BONGABON: Famous for being the "Onion Capital of the Philippines," Bongabon has shown consistent increases in annual regular income, supporting its new classification.

RIZAL: With its rich agricultural land and ongoing infrastructure projects, Rizal is poised for more commercial and public sector investments.

GABALDON: Known for eco-tourism and the scenic Sierra Madre mountains, Gabaldon is attracting more visitors and investments, fueling economic development.

SANTO DOMINGO: The municipality has also been reclassified as a first-class municipality. This reclassification reflects the municipality's economic growth and increased income, aligning it with the criteria for first-class status based on the revised standards set by the Department of Finance.

17 years ago recalling this tragic incident. On December 31, 2007, a devastating fire broke out in Bocaue, Bulacan, known for its fireworks industry. The fire was caused by the explosion of a fireworks stall, which led to a chain reaction involving other nearby stalls. The incident resulted in several fatalities and injuries, and it caused widespread destruction in the area. It highlighted the dangers associated with the improper handling and storage of fireworks, leading to increased calls for stricter regulations and safety measures in the industry.

Many people described the scene in Bocaue, Bulacan, during the 2007 fire as resembling a year" (war) due to the chaotic and intense explosions of fireworks. The fire triggered a series of blasts that filled the air with loud detonations, bright flashes, and thick smoke, creating a war-like atmosphere. Residents and bystanders reported hearing continuous explosions and seeing debris flying, which heightened the panic and chaos. This tragic event underscored the dangers of the fireworks trade, especially in densely packed areas, and became a stark reminder of the need for strict enforcement of safety regulations in the industry.

The New Saint Nicholas of Tolentine Cathedral (also referred to as the Crypta Cathedral or the New Cabanatuan Cathedral) is poised to become a remarkable architectural and spiritual landmark in Central Luzon. Inspired by the design of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City, it reflects grandiose Renaissance and Baroque architecture. Located within the Lakewood Subdivision in Barangay Sumacab Este, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, the cathedral features a crypt for the burial of departed priests and bishops, making it unique in its purpose and design.

The construction timeline is extensive, projected to span around 10 years, reflecting the scale and intricacy of the project.
