Suhot Cave & Spring Resort

Suhot Cave and Spring Cold water is located in the Municipality of Dumalag, province of Capiz. The famous Suhot Cave and Spring Resort are located in this place. About 300 meters away from the provincial highway.

It is one of the longest cave and magnificent resort that can be found in the country. Suhot Cave and Spring Cold water has its crystal and clear water that came from under the cave, which you can enjoy swimming.They have there cottages which is suitable place for taking your rest after swimming or roaming around. In the upper part of the place there is a mini-zoo where you can see the different kinds of animals. This place is ideal for your summer vacation of spend together with your family and love ones. The Suhot and Spring Cold water are comfortable place for us because of its and natural beauty to attract the visitors.

History of Suhot Spring Resort

Suhot Cave, Dumalag - It is actually a series of interconnected caverns of different sizes. At the cave's arched entrance is a pool of clear, ice-cold water fed by a rock spring from within the cave. Further on, however, is a crack in the rocks where sulfurous water comes out. Suhot is believed to have a connecting tunnel to the Badiang Cave, Dumarao since both caves are found in the same mountain only 6 km apart from each other although Badiang is on a higher elevation. On the other hand, entrance to Badiang is hidden by dense jungle. In pre-war days, phosphate was said to have been extracted from the cave but it was a short-lived effort.

How to Get There

From Manila, you can fly to Roxas City (estimated cost of Php3,500++, round trip, one hour). You can also opt for a bus trip RORO (estimated cost of Php1000++ per head, air-conditioned bus and boat fare, 17 hours plus).

Suhot Spring is 45mins away from Roxas City and 300 meters away from the provincial road. 2.5hours away from Iloilo City - You can ride a bus at Tagbak Terminal in Iloilo City going to the town of Dumalag, from there hire a tricycle going to Suhot CAve and Natural Spring Resort in Barangay Dolores.
