MAYOR RAJIV'S MESSAGE FOR MR. AND MS. HIGH SCHOOL 2023
Someone once told me, that if you watch an educator teach a classroom full of students, you can see what real love looks like. And I admit that I must agree. Here with you tonight, under one roof, looking at all of you students, former students and teachers alike – cheering, supporting our schools and our candidates, I must say that I am also witnessing what genuine love looks like.
😊 Let me take this opportunity to reciprocate your love and support for our Abante administration, ug kamong tanan pinagga mo ni Mayor Rajiv isip inyong amahan. Ug tungod kay pinagga mo nako, ug sa Council, ang Municipal Govt. naa mi reglaro ninyo, ang Ben and Ben concert.
As we march closer towards the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, let us continue to celebrate our fiesta in a manner that embodies our trademark as a united community that defines us as one Minglanilla. Our Mr. and Ms. High School Minglanilla highlights the differences, diversity and uniqueness of our different schools that we embrace. But it also highlights the unity that we all share. While all of you support different schools and different alma maters, inside all of us is a heart that beats as one Minglanillahanon. And we all bleed love for one home, for one Minglanilla. And as one Minglanillahanon, we all know that our fiesta celebration is testament to our strong and immovable collective faith in our God and in our patroness, the Immaculate Heart of Mary who has, through her intercession, guided us, protected us, blessed us through the years.
Let us make use of our fiesta celebration to remind us of the qualities of our Blessed Mother that we all should aspire for: humility, compassion, and devotion. Those are qualities that exceed physical appearances. Those are the qualities that embody what our Mr. and Ms. High School Minglanilla should stand for.
To all our candidates, you are a star in your own right, because it takes courage to stand on stage and it takes dedication to perform before this crowd. (You) all deserve our resounding applause as winners.
Let this coronation night be a reflection of the beautiful future that awaits our town of Minglanilla. If, and that’s a big if, if we work hard, if we work smart, and if we work together, wala’y imposible basta magkugi. Padayon ta sa pag-abante for a better, brighter and more vibrant Minglanilla! Happy fiesta!
