Today, we officially celebrate the 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐠 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 to honor 𝐒𝐞ñ𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐍𝐢ñ𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮, and to commemorate the arrival and start of catholicism in our country. As we celebrate the Sinulog Festival, it is through our prayers and dancing to the traditional Sinulog, that we get to express our 𝘂𝘁𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝘀 and 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀—𝒎𝒈𝒂 𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒑𝒊𝒕, to the Holy Infant Jesus of Cebu.

Sa mga akda ni Dr. Jose P. Rizal, ipinakita niya na ang tunay na lakas ng isang bayan ay hindi sa armas, kundi sa 𝙥𝙖𝙜-𝙞𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙥 𝙖𝙩 𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙢𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙡 sa Inang Bayan. Gamit ang 𝙥𝙡𝙪𝙢𝙖 𝙖𝙩 𝙥𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙡, ipinaglaban niya ang kalayaan at dignidad ng bawat Pilipino.

Ngayong 𝐢𝐤𝐚-𝟏𝟐𝟖 𝐭𝐚𝐨𝐧 ng kanyang pag-alala, nawa’y magsilbing inspirasyon ang buhay at mga aral ni Rizal upang patuloy nating mahalin at paglingkuran ang bayan—𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗮 𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗶.

𝐀 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐧, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

Historical accounts reveal that six to eight Filipino soldiers composed the firing squad tasked with executing José Rizal in 1896. A descendant of one of the ex*****oners, Adolfo Pastor Quetcuti, later revealed that only one of their rifles was loaded with a live bullet while the rest were filled with blanks. This was intended to ease the guilt of the soldiers, who were painfully aware of Rizal's innocence and the injustice of the act they were forced to carry out.

Startled by the gunshot from the firing squad, pigeons soared above him while he faced the sun and accepted his impending death. In his last poem, written the night before his ex*****on, he wrote, "And pray too that you may see your own redemption," reflecting his hope for the Philippines' future.

A man of honor, Rizal’s words ignited a revolution, and his ex*****on in Bagumbayan became a powerful symbol of sacrifice and defiance against tyranny. As we commemorate the 128th anniversary of his martyrdom today, it is with fervent hope that we strive to emulate his spirit.

Pepe, who hailed from Calamba, Laguna, was born into an illustrious family and could have remained silent while studying in Europe. Instead, he chose to use his knowledge to amplify the voices of the oppressed — one who not only died but lived fiercely for our country.

May every 30th of December remind us of the blood that was spilled and of the ongoing struggle for genuine freedom. §

Here’s a lookout of what went on behind the cameras during the filming of 𝘾𝙉𝙐-𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙢 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙊𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣’𝙨 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙢 𝙁𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙮 during the 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙤 𝙎𝙖 𝙎𝙪𝙜𝙗𝙤 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰! 🎄💚

Entitled 𝑨 𝑫𝒐𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒑 𝑴𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒍𝒆, the film is 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗟𝗼𝗲𝗻𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗯𝗼, 𝗰𝗼-𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗬𝗵𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘇, and 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹 𝗝𝗼𝘆𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘇. Also part of the team were 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗳𝗼 (𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿) and 𝗝𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 (𝗦𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁). Meanwhile, 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗚𝗹𝘆𝗰𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮, and 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗹 were the 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗿.

The film also garnered a major award of 𝘽𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝘿𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧, awarded to 𝗠𝗿. 𝗜𝗯𝗼 for his exceptional performance all throughout! 🥳 Aside from being the 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, he was also the 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿 and the 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿, proving how he is a well talented Ka-TourS. 😜💅🏻
