The local government unit expresses gratitude to all who helped with the float's preparation and presentation during the parade.

The Cervantes float celebrates the love for nature and the environment, the rich culture of the
early settlers, and the history that is nestled in the area. The establishment of Protected Areas
ignites the perseverance of leaders to take good care of the environment, which is a
collaborative effort of the people, local officials, and national offices. The preservation of
nature is intertwined with the preservation of culture and history in llocos Sur. The Bessang
Pass Natural Landmark/Monument showcased on the front of the float symbolizes the valor
and camaraderie of the fallen and victorious Filipino soldiers who fought for our freedom.

The summer capital of llocos Sur proudly embraces its rich culture that was passed down from their forefathers and the float depicts a person showcasing the harvest of a hunted pig
representing the Ani Festival of Cervantes, a Festival that celebrates the bountiful harvest of
the People of Cervantes. The one-town-one product, Ginger, has many by-products that offer
us health benefits when consumed

The Float of Cervantes speaks "If we take care of Mother Nature, it will provide us with
our basic needs, allowing us to live a happy life."

However, we want to remind you to prioritize your safety and well-being while attending the event. Here are some safety precautions you should take note of:

1. Please do not come near the lighting area located at Central School.

2. We highly recommend that you position yourselves a safe distance away from the lighting area to enhance the beauty of the display.

3. For your safety, kindly park your vehicles at least 50 meters away from the lighting location.

Attention all visitors to our Municipal Park! It is imperative that we work together to ensure that our children are well-monitored. Any destructive behavior on their part may result in vandalism and damage to our park's amenities, which will take a considerable amount of time and resources to restore. This can also have a negative impact on the experiences of other visitors who come to enjoy the park's ambiance and lighting.

Please note that the Santa bag is not a trash can, and should not be used as such. We kindly request your cooperation in keeping our park clean and safe for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Dear hikers, we would like to address the unfortunate incident that occurred on November 26, 2023, at Mt. Tuwato. We understand that this may have caused concern and we want to assure you that we are taking steps to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.

In collaboration with the Municipal Tourism Council, MDRRMC, BFP, PNP, tour guides, and residents of Malaya and San Luis, we conducted the rescue operation urgently and ensured the safety of everyone involved.

We have taken note of the concerns raised by our distinguished tourist regarding the incident and we are currently investigating the matter. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work towards finding a resolution.

Rest assured that we are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable hiking experience for all our visitors. We will continue to work closely with our partners to improve our safety measures and ensure that incidents like this do not happen again.
