Ato'ng balikan ang tuig 2000, when Danao City was already a city on the move, paving the way for development and true progress. Under the visionary leadership of the Durano Administration, our local government made sure nga ang mga proyekto dili lang pang karon, apan mulungtad sa dugayng panahon para sa kaayuhan sa Pamilya'ng Danawanon.

Tan-awa ni'ng mga milestones, pipila lamang kini sa mga daghan'g proyekto sa ato'ng dakbayan. Bisan pa man og black and white ang litrato, apan maklaro na gayud ang paningkamot sa ato'ng lokal nga pamunoan para sa kalambuan. These weren’t just ordinary projects, they were investments nga hangtod karon nag-serbisyo sa Pamilya'ng Danawanon, bringing convenience, safety and development.

Fast forward to the present, the Durano administration continues this legacy of progress. Karon, mas daghan pa gyud ang nahimo—mga proyekto nga nagdugay. Yes, Danao City has always been forward-thinking, ensuring that every project is a step towards a better future for everyone. With every infrastructure we build, we make sure nga ang kada piso magbunga gayud og dugang ug dugay nga kaayuhan sa katawhan.

Fellow Danawanons, let’s continue to take pride and care for these developments that have been dedicated to us. Padayon ta sa pag-amping sa ato'ng syudad ug sa kalambuan nga ato'ng gihuptan, HERE AND NOW.

ABOVE PHOTO (2006). Shot by Ericson L. Batulan 18 years ago using a digital camera (DSLR).

BELOW PHOTO (1974). Shot by Pepe Cal 50 years ago using a film camera. Pepe Cal was one among the few photographers in Danao back then.

The wide area you see in these two photos was called as "Gym Ground" back then and it is where the City Mall of today is located.

The old public market at a distance (below photo) is replaced by the city terminal of today which is now at the back of this Gaisano Capital building (above photo). The area where the houses stood before (below photo) is not part of the Gaisano Capital building but is occupied today by Julie's Bakeshop, Evercare Drugstore, Llhuillier and another store.

Scouters parading in the old photo were at my age back then. Area Camporal like this was only one of many events and activities that were held in this historic site.
