COVID TESTS REQUIRED FOR DOMESTIC TRAVEL TO CEBU

Effective from August 19, 2021, all domestic travelers flying to Cebu are now required to present either:

1. A negative RT-PCR test result taken within 72 hours prior to the scheduled arrival in Cebu;
OR
2. A negative Antigen test result taken within 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival in Cebu.

(Note: A negative Antigen test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival will be allowed for travelers destined for points in the Province of Cebu; but NOT if they are destined for Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City and/or Mandaue City, which strictly enforce the 48-hour maximum for Antigen tests.)

The above rules are mandated by new directives issued respectively by the Governor of the Province of Cebu (“Regulating the Entry of All Persons Entering the Province of Cebu through All Airports”), as well as by the local governments of Cebu City, Mandaue City and Lapu-Lapu City.

Airlines are not allowed to accept for boarding any passengers who are unable to present either a valid negative RT-PCR test result or a negative Antigen test result. (The test results must not expire during transit.)

You can also arrange for your RT-PCR or Antigen Test through a testing facility located at PAL Gate 3 in Pasay City or at PAL Learning Center in Manila City in partnership with our DOH-accredited partner, Detoxicare Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory. The RT-PCR tests cost PHP 2,599 (currently priced at PHP 3,300) with results released in 24 hours. Antigen tests cost PHP 700 with results released in 30 minutes.
