CEB Refund Update
As of Sept 17, 2020

As many know, the tourism and aviation industries have been among the worst hit by COVID-19 and currently, Cebu Pacific is only able to operate 10% of its pre-COVID network.

Since the start of this pandemic, we have received an unprecedented number of refund requests due to the flight cancellations brought about by the lockdown. Our refund process then was originally not designed to handle this volume of requests, and this resulted in a backlog. We have since then revamped our procedures in order to address this.

To date, we have refunded over PHP 2.4 billion booking cancellations related to COVID-19, equivalent to 50% of refund requests received. We remain committed to our customers to complete pending refunds, and will update them once these have been processed. We are currently halfway through refund requests filed last April.

We understand how challenging this whole situation is, and we sincerely apologize for the delay. We thank our guests for their patience and understanding as we continue to enhance our processes for this to be resolved soonest.

Here’s the updated Gradual Flight Restart plan, as of June 17, 12NN.

All international flights remain cancelled until July 31, 2020. Meanwhile, domestic flights are on limited schedules. Details may be found here https://bit.ly/CEBflights_Jun19to30.

This is a developing situation. We may reduce or add flights depending on passenger demand, quarantine conditions and travel restrictions. We continue to work with national and local authorities on restarting flights.

We would like to remind that only passengers with confirmed flights are advised to go to the airport. We will keep providing updates as soon as it’s available.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

For clients with affected flights due to Covid-19/ Community Quarantine issues, please note that KGL Travel and Tours will follow all the airline’s options for your travels.

For Cebu Pacific flights, 3 options are there. Rebook, Travel Fund and Refund. We totally understand that we are all struggling due to this pandemic but we encourage you to select the options of Rebook or Travel Fund as the Refund option will take so much time. Those who have requested since March, up until now we didn’t receive any amount yet and we sincerely want to apologize for that. As much as we want to give your money back, its out of our hand. We, travel agents are patiently waiting as well. As per the latest update (through their customer service), CebPac’s accounting department will be available once nalift na po yung ECQ but as we all know we don’t know yet kelan po mallift. Again, we are all asking for your patience on this regard.

For PAL flights, they have the same options. Rebook, Convert to Travel Voucher or Refund. For those who have booked PAL ticket with us, please do let us know what is your option.

For AirAsia flights, they only have 2 options. Convert to 1 year credit or Unlimited Date Changes. So you can either rebook or convert it as a credit to book for another flight of your choice. For those who have booked AirAsia ticket with us, please do let us know what is your option.

All refund requests has been submitted.. Again, we are humbly asking everyone’s patience regarding the refund as this is out of our hands. All of us (travel agencies) are coordinating with the airline companies and they have their own guidelines. Kindly be informed that we cannot guarantee the exact date of when it will be release. Once we receive the update po, rest assured we will update you as well as soon as possible. So pasensya na po if it will take time. Again, hindi po namin hawak ‘to. General Santos City- Simula bukas (March 17) Martes, wala nang flight na naka-schedule sa GenSan airport.

Ito'y matapos maglabas ng Executive Order si Mayor Ronnel Rivera kung saan sarado na sa passenger flights ang GenSan airport bilang pag-iingat na rin sa banta ng coronavirus disease.

Pero nakasaad sa EO number 13 series of 2020 na mananatiling bukas ang cargo at supply flights sa paliparan.

Cebu Pacific flights continue to operate as scheduled, however, we have received rebooking and cancellation requests from our passengers in light of COVID-19. Hence, we made changes to our booking policies to provide our passengers with flexibility and peace of mind:

Passengers traveling to Philippine and international destinations from March 10 to April 30, 2020 who wish to rebook or cancel their flight have the following options:

1. Free Rebooking - Change fee is waived. Fare difference may apply.

2. Travel Fund - Put the full cost of the ticket in a Travel Fund. The Travel Fund can be redeemed within 180 days and can be used for bookings as far as 12 months out
