Simula December 15, 2020, hindi na sasagutin ng LGU GenSan ang gastos ng hotel/motel mandatory quarantine ng mga sumusunod:

1. APORs;
2. Returning residents;
3. Close contacts in companies pursuant EO 48 S. 2020;
4. Close contacts with COVID-19 cases na ayaw mag-quarantine sa mga Barangay Isolation Unit (BIU).

Ito ay base sa Section 5 ng Executive Order No. 54, S. 2020 o ang Modified Guidelines on Mandatory Quarantine and Protocols.

Sasagutin pa rin ng LGU GenSan ang gastos ng hotel/motel mandatory quarantine ng mga sumusunod:

1. Returning Overseas Filipino workers;
2. GSC-LGU Health Frontliners;
3. GSC-LGU officials and employees (na mga frontliners);
4. Barangay Officials;
5. IATF government personnel newly assigned in General Santos City subject to the approval of the IATF-GSC; at
6. Close contacts ng mga GSC-LGU/Frontliners’ family members subject to the assessment of medical officers.

Lahat ng mga closed contacts ay libreng mag-quarantine sa identified Barangay Isolation Unit (BIU) ng lungsod dahil sa patuloy na local transmission cases.

STATEMENT ON THE SUSPENSION OF INCOMING FLIGHTS TO GENSAN

The Local Government Unit of General Santos will impose a cancellation of all incoming commercial flights into the city starting August 24, 2020 until further notice.

This is to give way for the rest, recuperation, and regrouping of our medical, security and support frontliners.

As of the moment, all our medical, security and support frontliners are deployed as augmentation personnel to the ongoing 4th level contact tracing in three of our barangays namely Bula, Fatima, and Apopong. These are the same frontliners who facilitate the entry of LSIs and ROFs for incoming flights into the city.

They are also the same frontliners who have been on the ground since March of this year.

It is also sad to note that a number of our support and medical frontliners are under quarantine after one of our Rural Health Unit (RHU) doctor tested positive for COVID-19.

After careful deliberation, your LGU GenSan, with the recommendation of the Local IATF feels that we will be putting our residents in danger by fielding tired and overworked frontliners to man our airports and quarantine facilities.

We will resume flights once all our frontliners are declared safe from their quarantine, and once all ongoing contact tracing is done.

For returning residents and overseas Filipino workers affected by the suspension of flight, the IATF will still honor your RT PCR swab results even if it has passed the 72-hour window period set forth by our local ordinance.

We appeal for your kind understanding, and we request every one to include our frontliners in your prayers as we go through this pandemic together.

Cebu Pacific will resume operations on June 2, 2020, with a limited number of domestic flights out of NAIA Terminal 3.

We will restart with four flights, with the following routes:

Manila-Cebu-Manila

Meanwhile, all international flights remain suspended from June 1 to 30, 2020.

Leisure travel is not allowed, as per government guidelines. Guests must check with the local governments of their origin and destination for the required documents.

We continue to work with the IATF, as well as national and local authorities on restarting flights. This is a developing situation. We may reduce or add flights depending on passenger demand, quarantine conditions and travel restrictions.

COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT | Malaysia had reported a sudden spike in their COVID-19 cases, with most of these patients having links to the cluster who attended the ijtimak tabligh gathering in the Jamek Sri Petaling Mosque.

The Malaysian Health Minister said that 77 of the COVID cases were linked to the event held in Selangor. There were 16,000 attendees from different countries who were there from February 27 to March 1.

One of the attendees who is a resident of Lanao del Sur has tested positive for COVID-19 while admitted in Cotabato. The affected community in Cotabato will be in quarantine, especially those near the slaughterhouse where his relatives stayed. We are urging EVERYONE who attended the event in Malaysia, or who had contact with those who attended, to coordinate with the DOH or with the BARMM-MOH.

There were 215 attendees from the Philippines, mostly from BARMM, who were in the religious gathering in Malaysia. We are asking them to please contact immediately the local health units. Observe self- quarantine, and COOPERATE for the contact tracing. Report to the local hotlines provided by your LGUs and MOH any information you have regarding those who attended the said event. Cebu Pacific has always been committed to upholding the safety of all our passengers and personnel. Preventive measures are in place to manage the risk of infection from the Corona Virus Disease 2019. These measures include thorough disinfection of aircraft, on top of the regular cleaning; providing our crew with Personnel Protective Equipment such as face masks, gloves and disinfectants; restriction on transferring of seats during our flights; and use of HEPA air filters, that block 99.99% of contaminants and viruses.

Of course, who won’t be tricked by that? Mura kasi. Some people are asking us, ba’t mahal ang ticket na inooffer nyo? Sa ganito ganyan, mura lang sila! They try to compare our ticket price sa iba but it’s okay. We offer convenience and quality service in arranging our client’s travels. It’s their choice, it’s their money na ginagastos nila. But remind you guys, just make sure na LEGIT at hindi SCAMMER ang mapuntahan ng murang hinahanap mo or else mapapa MURA ka kasi naging biktima ka ng scammer. We’ve seen many travellers victimized by these. Super sayang ang pinag iiponan nila.

Here’s our TIP!

1. Ask yourself, ba’t ang mura? Naka promo ba? Wag mahiyang magtanong. It’s our task to answer your inquiries. Magbook man kayo o hindi, choice niyo na po yon.

2. You can check or follow different airline companies para macheck kung legit po talaga ang promo o hindi.

3. Kung magbook po kayo, it’s said na binabayaran niyo din ang service ng travel agents but don’t worry its minimal.

4. The advantage of booking with us is we have support team who we can call when may mali na naibook (wrong spelling, rebooking, add baggage). If you direct sa airlines, na sa inyo lahat ng stress at pagod kaka antay ng reply nila and they’re not that responsive, as per experience.
