GOOD NEWS I The Philippine Airlines will offer more flights between Manila and Basco (Batanes) beginning July 24, 2022.

From July 24, a new Sunday frequency will bring PAL's Manila-Basco-Manila services to four flights weekly every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Full schedule below:
PR 2932 Manila-Basco – departing at 06:00 AM, arriving at 07:45 AM
PR 2933 Basco-Manila – departing at 08:15 AM, arriving at 10:00 AM

From August 2, its Manila-Basco-Manila services will increase to seven weekly flights, giving convenient morning departures every day of the week. The departure and arrival times are the same as stated above.

"Man behind the Morion Mask"

The presentation of Morion mask carving by the Man behind the Morion Mask is one of the highlights of CNN video documentary. Salvador "Buddy" Liwanagan, a Mogpog-based artist, is the go-to person for complicated mask. During his high school years, he began carving Morion as a hobby. He has no professional training in painting or wood carving. Liwanagan's masks are unique. He makes mask in response to consumer requests. Orders come from Moriones fans in Marinduque as well as local and foreign visitors looking for a souvenir of the province's religious-themed events.
