Recovery

The recycle bin only works for your own machine and only if you have sufficient disk space, likewise only if the file or folder you delete is small enough for your system to store in the recycle bin. It will not work over networks or removable disks. If you lost any of your important data, you should not hesitate to call us immediately to maximize the chances of a successful recovery. # Consultancy
We offer our clients general support and advice over the phone in order to maintain their IT system and this is not usually charged to regular and retained clients. Where there is a need to provide training, consultancy or in-depth advice on specific matters, we provide a range of services from a simple report to an in-depth analysis and if desired, design and specification. Should the amount of support required becomes considerably demanding, this can be built into a financial agreement where the time spent carrying out such support is logged, and the client may be charged on a monthly basis. When working with clients, there is often a necessity to disclose or allow access to sensitive data, operating methods or other information relating to the business of the client but we assure you that any advice, details of discussions, security details or other information of the types mentioned will always remain confidential. We abide by the Patient-Doctor Confidentiality Policy.
# Installations
We provide installation and setup services for even the most inexperienced user, introducing them to their new equipment and showing them how to perform basic tasks as part of the installation process. TERMS and CONDITIONS
Repairs
On-site repairs carry a fix charge of one hour plus the callout charge. Repairs carried out at our office are subject to a minimum charge of one hour. On-line work carries a minimum charge of half an hour. Where faults are caused by software problems we reserve the right to erase all data from the disk and reinstall software from scratch. If this action is required the customer must supply legitimate copies of all operating system and application software together with license agreements and serial numbers. Where the customer has additional data on the disk or a specific system configuration (such as an internet connection or e-mail data that must be retained) we may preserve this data and/or configuration at the customers request but the additional cost of doing so will be passed on to the customer at the hourly rate when the job is complete. Upgrades
Upgrades will be carried out for a cost of one hour for all customers, whatever the upgrade. Where we supply the goods these will be charged at our usual price. Customers are welcome to source goods elsewhere for upgrades (e.g. second hand goods, or where better pricing or availability terms are available)
Where customers supply goods for upgrade any extra time taken because of unsuitable or non-functioning goods will be charged at the hourly rate. Callouts are charged on a scale fee basis within the local area. Beyond this area call-outs are charged per half hour driving time at our traveling rate. Any customer requesting a site visit for any purpose may be charged for the callout plus time on site at the usual rate. Where customers request a visit regarding new business or request a particularly large job we may, at our discretion, choose to waive the fee. Where callouts are requested by clients for any reason these will be charged irrespective of whether repairs or other work is completed unless the failure to complete is as a result of a failure of CDS to attend or complete the work (i.e. If a client decides after being visited that they do not want work carried out for any reason such as costs, timescale, etc. and the customer requested a callout then the customer is still liable for the callout and time on site
