❤️ ALL ABOUT ILOILO ❤️

Iloilo is a province of the Philippines, located in the center of the Philippine archipelago. The province comprises the southeastern part of Panay Island with island-province of Guimaras just across its coast. The capital city of the province of Iloilo is the City of Iloilo, which is also one of the major urban centers in the Philippines. It is nicknamed “the Heart of the Philippines”.

💢Tourism💢

Tourism in the area has received quite a significant boost in the recent years. Visitors will never run out of options here, thanks to its exceptional range of different landscapes with just short distances away, lots of leisure activities and a unique cultural heritage where tradition and modernity blend together in perfect harmony. In addition to that, one thing
that the whole of Iloilo offers is their hospitality.

There are a plethora of good accommodation options in the province. And if you do not mind living in budget accommodations, there are a number of places that you can visit without getting broke. So, if you are looking for a perfect vacation destination, weekend getaway, or just a place to kick back and relax, Iloilo is the ideal place to visit. No matter what you choose to explore, IT’S GOT TO BE ILOILO.

Iloilo serves as the gateway to the region. It is a stopover for tourists heading to the beaches of Boracay and Palawan and the nearby provinces of Guimaras, Antique, Capiz, and Aklan

💢People and Language💢

People from Iloilo are called Ilonggos. They are known for their charm and sweetness that comes from the musical to nation of their dialect, Hiligaynon. You would not be able to tell if an Ilonggo is mad at you by the way they speak, which always sounds like someone crooning a love song to you. Kiniray-a, which is a dialect very similar to Hiligaynon is used in Iloilo’s country sides. English and Tagalog are also widely spoken and understood especially in urban areas.

"Camiña Balay Nga Bato"

•Camiña Balay Nga Bato is a beautiful ancestral house that has become one of the most famous tourist attractions in Iloilo City. Its name means "house by the river," and it was built between 1860 to 1865. It was once the humble home of Fernando Avancena and his wife, Eulalia Abaja. The structure of the house was patterned after the bahay kubo. Improvements and renovations have been made through the years, but the house itself has stood the test of time.

"Tickets and entry"

•The minimum entrance fee for Camiña Balay Nga Bato is PhP150. This comes with a hot chocolate drink. For PhP220, you can get Pancit Molo with your hot chocolate drink. The house also sometimes hosts buffet lunches and dinners for a minimum of PhP595, but this must be booked in advance.

"Best time to visit"

•Camiña Balay Nga Bato is open from 8 AM to 5 PM. Since it is an indoor attraction, you may visit it year-round, but take note of the typhoon months, which usually happen from June to August. If you want to catch the city’s famous Dinagyang Festival, visit Iloilo City and Camiña Balay Nga Bato in early January.

✨ NEW GLAMPING SITE IN ILOILO ✨

Looking for a new place to explore and unwind in San Joaquin? Look no further than the newly-opened beach camping site, Dalina Balai sa Baybay.

I recently spent a night at Dalina Balai sa Baybay with my fellow content creators and I was immediately struck by the natural beauty and relaxing atmosphere of the site. Here's why I enjoyed my stay at Dalina Balai sa Baybay:

🏠: The site offers glamping-style cottages and tents that are perfect for enjoying the open air and natural surroundings.

🚽: Don't worry about roughing it at this camping site - they have two clean and comfortable common comfort rooms, complete with bidets and showers.

🍗: You're welcome to bring your own food to the site, and there's no corkage fee. You can even grill your own food for an authentic camping experience.

🚗: Dalina Balai sa Baybay offers free entrance and parking for those who will stay overnight, so you can focus on enjoying your stay without worrying about additional costs.

☕: As a special bonus, guests receive two bottles of beer or two cups of coffee free of charge.

👨‍🍳: The staff at Dalina Balai sa Baybay are extremely accommodating and always ready to help with any needs or questions you might have.

My stay at Dalina Balai sa Baybay was a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and refreshing escape in San Joaquin. Whether you're a seasoned camper or new to the experience, the site's comfortable amenities and stunning natural surroundings are sure to impress.

GIGANTES ISLAND, CARLES ILOILO ♥️

° Gigantes Island tours are available all year long, giving you a wide range of travel options. Still, you have to consider that island hopping in the Philippines is best during dry and summer months, which run from November to May. Since typhoons around these months are rare, you don’t have to worry about weather-related problems that might spoil your visit to the island.

° Then if you have time to spare getting to and around the island, you may be able to catch one of the best festivals in the Philippines, the colorful Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo City, which takes place on the first month of the year.

How to go From Iloilo City to Islas de Gigantes:

°Ride a taxi going to Tagbak Terminal in Jaro District.

°From Tagbak Terminal, ride a Ceres Liner bus or commuter van bound to Carles. By bus, your travel time may take 3 to 4 hours, whereas traveling by van may take around 2.5 hours (109KM).

°Get off at Bancal Port in the town of Carles, where you’ll be riding an outrigger boat to head to Gigantes Island. Travel time is approximately 1.5 hours.

SICOGON ISLAND | CARLES | ILOILO | Philippines

🔴 Long time ago Sicogon is the best beach in Panay Island long before Boracay get famous. Now Sicogon is making a huge comeback and thanks to Ayala for developing this beautiful & pristine beach we will now have another World Class resort and hotel in the making!

🔴 Sicogon was a popular tourist destination during the 1970s, famous for its crystal clear waters and long stretch of white sand beach lined with coconut trees. However, due to the situation caused by martial law, development stalled and Sicogon's popularity faded in favor of Boracay Island.
Carles,Iloilo

"Dali! , Lagaw Ta!"

How to get there:

✅ Ride a bus or van bound for Estancia at either Tagbak Terminal or Ceres Bus Terminal in Jaro, Iloilo City
✅ Take a short Tricycle ride from Estancia Terminal to Estancia Feeder Port
✅ Rent a Motorized Outtrigger Boat going to Sicogon Island
or if you want a cheaper option:
✅ Catch the passenger boat that serves the residents of the Island daily at around 10 AM - 11 AM
* Take note though that there's just one passenger boat per day so be there early... and since the boat is intended for residents of the island, please give them priority.
